Keep in mind, they got to 10,000 ASL but only got about 6,000 AGL.

A 737 climbs at roughly 1800 ft/min on a normal departure. That can be fast enough when unpressurized to rupture eardrums. Hell, most people’s ears pop even with the cabin pressurized.

My engineering master’s thesis was on whether turbine compressor oil leaks would result in respirable oil particulate in the cabin. Specifically, at what level of oil leak would you start to have respirable oil in the cabin.

I’m a Mustang guy, and even I’m sick of 65-67 Coupes. If it’s a convertible, okay that’s fine. If it’s fastback, sweet. But a Coupe? GTFOH with that thing. Those weren’t even cool when they were new.

I would be interested to see a breakdown on those warranty costs. I wonder if they are sweeping recalls, or just basic warranty issues. I can understand huge costs if they have an expensive recall that sweeps through a block of vehicles.

I have literally never been frustrated by the rotary gear selector in our Explorer. Having Park at the full left position, and Drive at the full right position, allows for you to quickly spin the dial to the end stop in either direction to put in P or D. It’s really not that hard to find R. 99% of the time you are

4th Gear: The long term solution for battery end of life will be through companies like Ascend Elements. Break them back down into their base ingredients for re-use in new batteries. Right now the battery manufacturing ecosystem is 100% open loop, requiring virgin mined material. Over time as the recycling industry

Yawn

I would like to go on record that I believe 540hp is entirely too much power for a 3.0L TT I6 engine in a truck/SUV application. We aren’t talking about a performance based engine design that only sees that level of boost and cylinder pressures for a fraction of the time. This engine will be working every single day

(The exhaust manifolds are integrated into the cylinder head, not the block)

One thing I’ve learned in my tenure owning a Gen1 Honda Insight (which I’m currently selling), that car is for enthusiasts only at this point. Parts availability issues make it very frustrating to keep G1s on the road. They’re extremely cheap to buy, and people buy them to save money, so most of them have had a lot of

They are good looking cars, but they were peak “design for nostalgia” of the mid-00s when we were nostalgic for 50s/60s hot rods.

Which is wild because the extended range battery in the Lightning is 1800lbs. So Dodge basically saved zero weight removing the entire ICE drivetrain, then added a 100kwh battery on top of it. Kind of impressive if you think about it.

The thing also has just barely better miles/kwh than an F-150 Lightning.

I hear you, but how is that any different than all of the Hellcat variants that just have a different pulley size differentiating the power levels? Why didn’t Dodge just throw the small pulley on everything if the motor could handle it?

If they were smart, they would have designed the head of the Hurricane to be a Hemi.

You and me both. My buddy spent $90k on a 2012 Wakesetter 23LSV and I about fell out of my chair.

There it is. Typical New Yorker thinking the way things are in the city is how things are in the rest of the country.

You are a Texan that traded in a Sierra Denali for a Bolt EV? Did your family disown you?

Uh, me?
