Kris Kobach is a man with a PhD from Oxford and a JD from Yale. He’s not dumb enough to think voter fraud is a thing; he’s smart enough to know he can trick people into thinking that voter fraud is a thing so he can kneecap his political opposition.

‘..or whether this is some sort of secret trial balloon that doubles as viral marketing for the Trump administration’. There is no fucking way someone in that camp is smart enough to think of something like this. Maybe Barron, but he’s in NYC and has a big test tomorrow, so busy.

Relax guys - dude’s arm is covering the part about bringing all the jobs back and getting tougher with China on trade.

Surprised Mexico isn’t going to build their own wall at this point... same for Canada. We are apparently going to make America great again by being afraid of our own shadow, overreacting to the smallest slight and have Putin’s hand shoved firmly up our ass.

But it wasn’t on an email server, so at least we know we are safe and secure, right?

Give them a break. It’s not every day that you can report on the end of the world in real time.

Three things I genuinely think Trump is concerned about today:

This is the next four years bro, on every form of media imaginable. It’s what happens when you elect a joke for president. Reference 2000-2008 if you want to know what it’s going to look like, and this will probably be much, much worse.

Says a person probably not affected by anything this man has “promised” to do. This is what the fight looks like my friend, either join it or regret your decision later in life.

Can you just not click on the articles and instead shut the fuck up?

Hey, bro, the rest of the gargantuan internet is that-away. Feel free, man, nobody is keeping you here.

You do realize you don’t have to click or read them right?

nah

I think this implies the job is going to stress him out. I am pretty sure he is temperamentally unable to experience stress. He just goes “whatever” and moves on to the next shiny thing. He doesn’t care that he has responsibilities. I don’t think he’s actually all that worried about being president, because he doesn’t

There’s also the fact that requiring ID hasn’t been legal in decades, and people who don’t have a photo ID aren’t necessarily going to think to grab a utility bill or paycheck (and if someone doesn’t have an ID, there’s a pretty good chance that they’re unbanked) or vaguely worded “other government document” when

Not to mention that the kinds of IDs that usually are acceptable under these laws are forms that are disproportionately held by white people (no student ID, but a hunting license).

Several years ago, we moved to Texas four months before the gubernatorial election. In order to swap out my out-of-state license and get the driver’s license necessary to vote, we had to (a) take time off work and go to the county tax office, and pay a tax bill of several hundred dollars to register the car in state;

There are two different issue here.

Not everybody has those things. ID’s cost money, require missing work in most cases, require transportation, etc. You could actually look any of that up. You should do that before you talk about it again.

I go to my polling place and tell them my name. They look me up. A copy of my signature is in the registered voter log. I sign next to it, they compare and if good I vote.
