Of course he wanted that, and that’s why he never said anything about it in his two seasons of playing. But unfortunately, Piece Of Shit Varner didn’t think he deserved such autonomy and ran him up the flagpole in a terrible effort to save his own skin on a silly game show. But I definitely think he wanted it to air.

If I remember correctly, CBS gave Zeke a lot of control when it came to that episode. From the interviews he gave, I always got the impression that he was in the driver’s seat for at least that part of it.

Maybe that happens more often in a perfect world, but with stuff like this that the internet can jump on and be a part of, I’d bet money that a lot of it is just people yelling at the authorities because they can. I’m not willing to give that many people that much of the benefit of the doubt. The internet proves

No, it’s the internet being fucking assholes again and thinking they know more from their living rooms than the trained people on the ground who actually know the situation.

Basking in the afterglow for the last week then, I guess. You’ve earned it.

I just teared up at the ending of SpaceCamp. I must be pregnant. Always a sucker for those John Williams scores.

My parents bought the Happy Days soundtrack on vinyl for some reason. One side of the cover was a big picture of Fonzie’s face, and it had a little fold-out stand so you could stand it up and gaze upon his handsome face. The ‘70s were a strange time.

That’s all terrible, but I was making a pun about hurricanes. If you want to do the internet shame thing because I made a pun about hurricanes, you go right ahead.

Watching it right now, and yeah, it hasn’t aged all that well. Perfectly fun bit of ‘80s nonsense, though. It’s fun seeing all these established actors (or at least one-time movie stars) working together, and the cheese of the movie in general holding it all together is fairly enjoyable.

Terrible for sure, but at the very least, the family will have the body. I’d rather have at least that much. Far more preferable to having it never be found.

Looking forward to all the conspiracy theories about how the VCSD CLEARLY moved it from a locked maintenance building five miles away where she’d been hiding the whole time.

Is that how many deaths I just willed into existence with that one post? I must try harder next time.

No, Pinky was played by Roz Kelly. Wah wah wah.

Not much of anything did. Weird, huh?

I will! I post about it frequently in the ‘Your Pop Culture Weekend’ articles that go up on Sunday, so if you see me, jump on in.

I had such a wicked ‘80s girl crush on Kelly Preston in the 1986 movie ‘SpaceCamp’. Hearing of her death this morning makes me want to watch it all over again. Rest in peace.

Getting near the end for me. I can’t imagine how they’re going to wrap it up.

I was much more the gross Lenny type. It’s so weird how that’s the amazing Michael McKean.

This is peak ‘Dad wants to make a gay joke but doesn’t know how to do it anymore’ right here.
