The new one is just dreadful. The dialogue seems to be so focused on ‘let’s keep this as evenly balanced between left/right standpoints’ that it forgets how to sound like anything anyone would actually say. It seems to have been written with a sledgehammer dipped in fake blood, with an intent to bash its audience over

This is one of the last movies I saw in a theater before lockdown began, and I don’t regret it at all. I do regret the fact that the last movie I saw before lockdown began was that trash ‘The Hunt’.

That dragon is a work of art. I literally gasped at its coolness.

Also he does Christmas movies. With Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. There is no god. There never has been.

I remember right after Biebs almost killed himself in a yellow Lamborghini a number of years back, there was some asshole company selling ‘fantasy rides’ in the very same car quite prominently. This was before anyone apologized for anything, too, so it was up for a long while.

Not sure why everyone is so surprised that he’s got an agent/publicist/accountant, and that he let them take care of this.

I’ll swim upstream here and say that the first season (the only one I watched) had the look and feel of an overly budgeted afterschool special. If any of the references to the original films had been more on the nose, they would’ve been balanced on the end of that nose like something out of a performing seal show.

Barsanti feigning interest and enthusiasm towards something is probably the most interesting part of this story. I can hear him Googling ‘positively intentioned adjectives’ from here.

I have some Lawry’s seasoned salt in my pantry right now! What a world.

This isn’t just Ja Rule trying to make a buck. It’s a spot created for a new TBS show, Celebrity Show-Off, in which famous folks make YouTube videos at home and compete to see who can get the most views.

Bateman, Patrick

Then leave that one off the list. I don’t care. They’re all still better than any of the Schumacher Batman movies.

Batmans

In that he was crying all the time, never caught a rabbit, and ain’t no friend of mine.

The only thing that becomes more obvious to me over time is how terrible those movies are regardless of what style they were created in. Schumacher directed far better films than those. The Lost Boys, St. Elmo’s Fire, Flatliners, Falling Down, hell, even Phone Booth was better than any of them.

I’m curious to hear about how Disney ruined it, even though it was shot five years ago.

LAFAYETTE

Now playing

Has very excite for this. I’ve listened to the soundtrack a hundred times, watched all the bootlegs on YouTube, and I can’t wait. I’m firmly convinced that Miranda based his version of Hercules Mulligan on Busta Rhymes, solely from his verse and how he brings him out in ‘The Battle of Yorktown’.

Read up a few. We’re already hip deep, pardon the pun.
