I love Sid, I love Al, and I love Gabby Gabby, but Lotso is easily the best villain of these movies. Ned Beatty makes him genuinely loathsome and terrifying, and with a tragic backstory, to boot. The scenes after hours with his gang plotting and taking stock of everything are some of my favorites of this film. I love

Truly the unsung heroes of our time.

Sorry, not taking fashion advice from a fucking stop sign, and I’m certainly not talking to a picture. Good day.

Holmes had the benefit of living in one of the best periods of time in history for con artists - when people are dumber than ever and have way too much money.

Sure, just double down. Why not.

My girlfriend Hayley Atwell narrates a podcast called True Spies that’s a lot of fun. It’s a whole bunch of true stories from former spies (hence the name). Worth a listen. I’ll tell her you said hello.

Now playing

Gymkata is an ‘80s cheese classic, and anyone who hasn’t seen it should find a way to do so immediately. Watching the clip above where every landed kick sounds like a gunshot brings back so many pre-teen memories. There’s even a reference to the pommel horse sequence in ‘Hot Rod’.

Oh man, I forgot all about Lush! Miki Berenyi all day.

Didn’t think things would go ‘not all men’ quite so quickly with this, but again, here we are.

Pretty much throughout the entirety of 2016. Mainly on Twitter, but it’s most likely not the only place she made an ass of herself (and helped get Trump elected in the process) in the name of her hypocritical puritan bullshit. Her endorsement of Jill Stein is still on Jill’s 2016 election website, for chrissakes.

Not picking a fight or anything, but just for the sake of interest, you know who else did the same thing at some point in their careers?

Surely the Elizabeth ‘Theranos’ Holmes of his day.

Much better said than I how put it. Some directors just need to accept that their skill set doesn’t put them any higher than that of a journeyman. Not everyone has ‘a vision’. Sometimes they just have the ability to put a movie together competently that works, and that’s that. And that’s fine. There’s nothing wrong

I used to listen to Live at Benaroya Hall a lot, but then I got really sick of it for some reason. I’ve recently been getting back into Pearl Jam Twenty, both the audio and video versions. Great stuff.

I’m a longtime Lara Croft fan, so I will not speak to that. Lara might be my favorite videogame character of all time.

This reminds me of when I re-released ET: The Extra-Terrestrial into theaters, I swapped out all the guns with walkie-talkies.

Finished up Space Force, and I absolutely loved it. The back half of the season is so goddamn good. It reminds me so much of Arrested Development.

Oh please. Tucker Carlson couldn’t kill a wine cooler on a hot day, let alone another human being.
