For a second I thought Ed Norton was making a real-life Smoke Jumpers movie.

The book is one of my favorites in the series, but I can see why people who haven’t read the books would think the movie’s a bit slow. To be honest, Chamber has become my go-to movie to watch when I can’t sleep.

Speaking of those annoying kids on my lawn, these days I am continuously impressed by practical effects that I completely overlooked when I was younger, before everything was green screened and accomplished with the “magic” of CGI. The shot of Catwoman using her whip to smack the heads off of those mannequins in the

What about Flying Saucerman?

I’ve heard a lot of hype about Greta Van Fleet being this amazing band that is supposedly bringing 70's rock back. But, honestly, I thought they sounded like a so-so high school band trying their best to imitate Led Zeppelin - with only a basic understanding of what made Zeppelin such a force (I’ve always attributed

Interesting choice of headliners for Lollapalooza, which, in my memory, was always more of a rock festival with a few select hip hop artists.

The way Mickey was acting at Gus’ parents’ anniversary party infuriated me. I was literally yelling at the screen for him to break up with her in the parking lot for being such a brat. It also would have been great if he’d thrown the keys for her to find, turned, and gone back inside (okay, not really).

I successfully avoided this movie for years. I’ve never liked Billy Crystal, who, we can all agree, IS THE EXACT SAME CHARACTER IN EVERY ROLE HE’S EVER BEEN IN. Ahem. My apologies for the aggressive caps. Last year my wife and I were flying from California to New York and I noticed When Harry Met Sally was available

First Blockbuster, now Toys R Us? WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO??!!

Aw man. That bummed me out. My parents used to take my brothers and I every year for our respective birthdays, and it was exactly how you described it. In my memory, TRU was the size of a Costco, and I would take my time walking through the different sections, marveling at all the toys, interacting with other kids,

Goddamn, I love the Hamm!

That’s a shame; this movie was amazing in theaters. The visuals and sound design really thrive in a theater setting. It was so engrossing that it even had people off their phones for the entire run time. As someone who gets irritated by people who check their phones in movies, that was damn impressive.

I think SMG can use a bit more lip gloss.

Does anyone still care about the Tommy Wiseau phenomena? That whole thing went cold even before the Disaster Artist. HE’S WEIRD, WE GET IT! MOVE ON ALREADY!

What? No way! This is totally unexpected. I wonder if there’s going to be a third, fourth and fifth movie? And then some crossover movies with other Marvel characters?

Maybe her publicist intervened because she knows that Jezebel is the exact kind of clickbait-y, opportunistic site (along with Splinter and, sorry to say, The Root) that would hope for Hendricks so make a wrong move or say something that can be misconstrued, and then have a field day with it by smearing her name

This is good news, people! He was hands down the weakest link on the show. In fact, Miller was the reason I stopped watching in season 2. The story was fine and the other actors were great, but Miller always reminded me of so many shlubby, loudmouth stoners I knew in high school who constantly talk out of their ass

Ew.

I enjoyed the book. Yes, some sections were cringe-inducing with how poorly written they were, but it was overall a fun read read. As for the movie...it probably won’t be very good. Spielberg is one of my favorite filmmakers, but his movies since the early/mid 2000's have not been very good.

That was a bit of a letdown. Thanks for letting me know there’s a new Apple product on the market!
