I never said I think it is or should be. My argument is that if its trying to be an esport it should conduct itself as a sport. Its subject matter should BE a sport not fantasy or sci-fi.

Im not asking for tron here but the game needs to have a sport feel, even if not in the traditional sense. The fact is dragons and demons is a hard sell for a sport, given the goal to be considered a sport.

It would definetly help esports credibility to drop gimmicky styled games, for example, make the game not revolve around Elves or dragons or other gimmicks. You can have a game like Starcraft and have it be engaging without the need to have character backstories or fucking aliens. That just makes it look like a joke…
