It will be OK - seriously, it will be OK. I only have one (18 now), but a huband who became disabled suddenly when he was 15), but do not beat yourself up. You love your children. They know that. Give yourself a breatk. The next few years will be hard, but there will be joys along the way. And 10 years from now…

Yeah for you! Sometimes things are just not that hard, and a few hours investment can fill your emotional tank.

I hope you didn’t think this was snarky. I was just trying to state facts and correct the bullshit the news is putting out (i.e. mean survival rate is 14 months to 3 years). In most cases it is less than 1 year.

The survival rate is not low. It is zero. There are no long term survivors of this horrible, awful, no good disease. My sister-in-laws mother died of it. It is intractible and fatal in all cases (unless they die of heart attack, infection or get hit by a bus while undergoing treatment).

And what is going on with her mouth in that picure? Inquiring minds want to know.
