BMW 1M.
I think that the tax credit number should be industry-wide vs automaker specific, then it’s really a matter of who is more successful selling EVs.
The problem is that it’s all about cheap credit with super long terms.
I drove a 1988 Ford Aerostar Eddie Bauer in high school (mid 90s). It had the automatic transmission, but that thing was a hoot to drive. I will also say that top speed exceeded the digital speedo in MPH which would stop counting at 85....but not in KPH when you switched it over.
Gotta push back on the PT Cruiser. While time hasn’t been particularly kind to it… it was a massive success when it came out.
They are bringing a car that literally everyone is asking for. The segment sells 4 million vehicles a year. Doesn’t make it an exceptional car, but one that will definitely boost VWs sales figures.
With a ton of visibility all around!
I love how collapsable cupholders have proven so difficult to engineer that automakers universally now just resort to a hole.
They also have to figure out how to make quality cars with a profit. One of the reason that Tesla has such minimal designs is to save money, and they have made no bones about this when the Model 3 came out. So squeezing cost out of their designs long term is going to be pretty interesting to see.
The big question is whether Tesla can improve the quality of their vehicles faster than the legacy automakers can improve battery capacity/technology.
💯💯💯
There is also a not insignificant link to the FUD yellers out there in that Tesla is also a stock market phenomenon, and there is a huge group of investors who doggedly defend Tesla because they have a direct financial stake in its success, all egged on by their CEO.
This is the point that is always missed. Of the gas car fires what percentage are 1-5 years old?
... or didn’t read the last paragraph of the article while furiously scrolling down to render their expert judgement.
I mean what better way for it to feel like a German luxury car??
I also think that this car will look far better in person than in photos, because it’s hard to get a sense of scale in what is a pretty big car.
When you manage to get it the steering wheel list right and don’t have to adjust it the whole way down??
