Love so many of these ensembles. But really, I like that the guys didn’t do the same boring black suit you usually see at red carpets!

Good on that man for showing their hypocrisy in such a simple way!

Wow, that was really awesome. Thanks for sharing his story, and happy birthday !

It’s worse than that, my friend. He did it the day of, early on, before the survivors had been transported out of the school and before an official word was released about the casualties.

Today, the first day back to school since Santa Fe, there were at least 5 neighboring districts where kids either brought guns to school or made threats, including one in the same district as Santa Fe High.

I live up the freeway from here, and my husband has a friend who teaches there that we haven’t confirmed her status yet. I’m hoping she just hasn’t had a moment to check in.

I used the florist at my HEB (local grocery store), and they turned out beautiful and cheap, but I only had my bridal bouquet and a groom’s corsage. Also got my wedding cake at HEB and it was delicious, cheap and pretty, too! So your grocer might be a good option depending on your needs.

What a great story, thank you for sharing!

Huh. Pregnant people are advised to go ahead and re-wash bagged salad At home but I guess it’s not necessary after all. One less thing to feel guilty about!

Re: the border butterfly refuge, that is actually located on private land. The Border Patrol is supposed to communicate with landowners prior to accessing the land and certainly before doing any kind of work or construction. There’s a process and actually liaisons for this.

When my kid had a dairy allergy, we got hooked on Nada Moo coconut-based “ice cream,” which is so creamy. Even though he’s outgrown his allergy, i still prefer that stuff as the real thing just feels too sticky sweet.

Ok, I never knew the context of that line or really thought about it much anyway. That’s very interesting, thanks!

Oh man. I’m so sorry your friend went through that and is still living with the aftermath.

Wow, I will check that out! Yes, I’ll sometimes ask my it husband to handle dinner and I dread hearing these words: “no problem, what do you want?” Sounds like you’ve found a possible solution, thanks!

Looking forward to this series! I used to love cooking before I had my kid, but it became too much of a chore when I was a new mom and working full-time. My husband, meanwhile, never picked up cooking because he’s perfectly happy subsisting on mac and cheese and almond butter sandwiches. My kid is now a picky

The body acceptance aspect is what really appeals to me as I’m struggling with it lately in a way I haven’t before, even after childbirth. Definitely looking up classes in my area.

Yes! I haven’t been in a Sears or Kmart in decades and usually shop discount retailers like Burlington. I have a Kohls gift card so went there a couple days ago and it was terrible! I had remembered it as being a kinda upscale Penny’s but this time it was so cluttered and overwhelming.

Ok, ya’ll just about have me convinced. Not sure I can make the commitment to a fitness class right now, but when the time comes I’ll consider pole, which is not something that had interested me before!

Wow. Powerful tribute, rest in power.

Buzzbee is a local character aside from his politics. His River Oaks house was the most expensive home sale in Houston, and he proceeded to tick off all the old money neighbors by parking a freaking antique tank on the street. He’s got a collection of expensive cars that all have vanity plates with his name. My
