There’s a lot fly-by-night places out there selling extended warranties, but it’s my understanding there are some legit places, too; chances are that if I could afford to buy a car like this, I’d probably do some research into a good warranty.

I mean, I’ve RTFA...in fact, several. Yes, the President has control over what basic type of message he wants to send, and duh, FEMA actually prepares a message accordingly.

The problem with a car like this is that you’re screwed if the engine blows or the trans gets shot; of course, nothing’s stopping you from using the warranty money to pay yourself labor. ;)

You can buy extended warranties from third-parties; generally their terms are that the warranty lasts 2 - 3 years, and they’ll sell you a warranty as long as it’s under 10-years-old and under 100k miles.

I dunno...it’s only $12k, and for every Jalop that says “x? just sbc-swap it!!111one!,” most of the work’s already done. Hell, even the body doesn’t look that bad...if you were planning on doing a custom kit car out of a 914 with SBC-swap, you could do worse; although that depends on the specific motor and trans.

It’s too late; I think it takes 5 - 6 weeks for the FBI to vet a nominee, and then congress will be in a lame duck session.  If Kavanaugh doesn’t get confirmed, whoever wins the Senate will decide the next SCOTUS Justice; and if the democrats win, don’t expect to see one appointed until 2020.
