Personally I’m very happy they’re not bound by legacy decisions. As long as the gunplay is still basically-Halo and the enemy hit-reacts still feel good, I’m sure we’ll get a better game out of it if they aren’t bound by design decisions they made more than three years ago. Sure they’re still tied to their dumb story

Is this VR Rez or regular Rez? If it’s VR Rez, then they have done a truly amazing job

I mean, it’s sort of interesting that he seems otherwise well-adjusted. If we banish any positive adjectives from descriptions of people who commit heinous crimes, we get the false notion that criminals are all obviously-evil people and nobody who appears good can ever do anything bad - or, in this case, that anyone

It certainly is possible - and the original Rez does almost all the things that trigger motion sickness for the largest number of people (except Z-fighting I guess). If they are going to make this one comfortable to play for more than 30 seconds at a time, they will have had to change a lot of things.

Seeing “Rez” and “VR” in the same sentence gives me motion sickness already. It’s the sort of game everyone wants to play in VR unless they have ever investigated which sorts of things instantly trigger VR motion sickness.

Most of them enjoyed themselves - but the last one I felt bad about. He was charming and handsome, had a fascinating job and was passionate about it. Great guy all around. We get to his place and everything looks great. As soon as I feel something through his trousers, I lose any and all interest INSTANTLY. He could

She does go too far sometimes. I can’t remember which guest it was, but a large part of the interview was all about her mother’s suicide and how that made her feel. It had absolutely nothing to do with whatever the guest was promoting, so it made me feel super awkward. I mean, the answers were honest and interesting,

Real-life version of this:

Yep. I’m a straight dude, but wouldn’t know that if I hadn’t had tried the other thing out a couple of times. My apologies to the test subjects.

He’s a much better actor than Grant, I’ll give you that, with approximately a million times the charisma. I still don’t quite understand the sex appeal, but then there’s much in this world that remains mysterious.

I’m not quite sure I get it either, but there appears to be a considerable number of American women who start frothing at the South when presented with mumbly posh Brits. How else do we explain the success of Hugh Grant?

I heard it from people who worked on border patrol. If they made it up, they made it up. It was, however, pretty consistent with the level of racism I observed in Austria in the late 90s and early 2000s. And last month when I went back for a short visit.

I knew some people who had been on border patrol in Austria. They said that illegal immigrants from Africa were often fed only bananas while in custody.

This is the sort of thing that would have been much cheaper to do when writing the dialogue and putting all the loc stuff into the game, than it would be to do after the fact.

The game is fun, but whoever is in charge of their monetisation seems to be doing his/her darndest to check every box in the “bad DLC practices” column. From locking out mid-game content, to buyable experience points, to buyable in-game cash (which is almost worthless in-game).

Well at least with CG there’s no chance his face will be torn off during filming.

The original dialogue was unsalvageable even by NolanBot, and the writing improved by leaps and bounds in Taken King. So even though they are saying the exact same lines a bunch of the time, I find them difficult to fairly compare.

I’d love that too. But even more than that, I’d love to have a system where more than two parties have a realistic chance, so that when our dream candidate appears we can vote for them with clear conscience and without feeling like idiots.

Normally I’m at least morally okay with voting Green, but Jill Stein has been courting the anti-vax vote. She can go fuck herself next to all the climate-change deniers.
