Holy shit, Barefoot, yes. Too many insurance agencies try to weasel out of providing the care we pay for, and this is exactly one of the ways they do it. Do you still need help?

My kid and I were standing in line waiting to check out at the grocery store Thursday and he looked at me and said, in a loud-ass preschool whisper “What the fucking hell is taking so long.” I wanted to die, but I also laughed. I am a bad grown up.

I AM SCREAMING WITH JOY FOR YOU!

As far as I’m concerned, ALL of those are legitimate reasons.

What if.... insurance agencies had nothing to do with it whatsoever, and the only people who determine how long care is needed are the providers, the patients and the patient’s outside support group? What if the cost of care is never even a factor in determining what care is provided?

So, my reason for doing this is kinda complex.

Oh yeah. Having an organized health care system where all one’s disparate practitioners can see one another’s notes and communicate accordingly will absolutely save lives, and not just because of this particular situation. AAAAAND, having a patient advocate (either as a specially trained layman or a licensed social

Oh my fuck yes. The number of “wellness spas” that just bilk the desperate is despicable. I also believe the people who run them should be incarcerated, but that’s another dream thread. ;)

As an art therapist-in-training, I wholeheartedly agree with this. Medication can be an incredibly helpful tool to alleviate the worst of the symptoms, but a majority of people who are on medication will also respond to additional therapies, like talk, group, art, music, kinesthetic, and play. Plus, cognitive

This is a ridiculous problem that we created for ourselves. Including mental health (of all flavors) in Medicare for All is the most reasonable solution to and unreasonable situation.

Fuck yes. FUUUUUUCK YEEEEESSSSSS.

Hell yes. Patching patients up just enough that they’re not in imminent danger and then streeting them is a horrendous practice that ultimately is more expensive than just keeping someone in-patient for a longer bit of time that does them good.

I made it!

So I'm bringing this comment up out of the greys because of your image. 10/10 improved article.

okay, so I’m going to preface this by saying I love Jim Henson and still cry about his ridiculous death and Big Bird at his funeral is one of my earliest memories, AND that Dark Crystal is my favorite, waaaay over that creepy movie about David Bowie’s dick after he kidnaps a couple kids.

I would like to see those statistics as well. I had my first kid at 32 and since I’m a genetic cheap ass my 5 year old son has worn brand new items only on a handful of occasions. Usually because some dressy event snuck up on me. My city has a twice a year consignment-a-palooza called Just Between Friends and once I

I think it’s the shock of hearing someone came to visit us that creates that slightly-desperate joy.

It’s moroccan carrot salad, and I found the recipe on food network. I still can’t figure out how to link shit on this laptop or I’d post the link. It’s a touchscreen and I hate tech.

Oof. That dog looks like he has regrets. Hope your next week is better!

Pet something soft and cuddly. *hugs*
