Oh no. Not that.  How horrible.

He’s a smart guy, that’s the thing.  It’s one thing to have a brain fart and utter that suggestion to some PR person on the call.  But to the CEO?  I’d expect that question from some poorly screened small shareholder who just wanted to get ask SOMETHING to the CEO, but from a person like Adam...  I don’t know.

I AM a finance guy, and can unequivocally state that this kind of free press is good for small boutique firms that are just trying to get their names out. Watch CNBC for a day and see all the random analysts from small firms you’ve never heard of in New England who make outlandish calls (“S&P is going to lose 50% by

5th Gear: As this one hits close to home for me (no, I do not currently work at, nor represent, Morgan Stanley), I will be as diplomatic as possible. Adam Jonas is a brilliant man, and very good (but not the best) at what he does.

My screen name is a play on irony. A good guy in finance with the name of an evil guy in finance. But rest assured, I don’t actually call for people to get murdered.  In real life.  Like a psychotic child.

Calling for people to get murdered.  So edgy.

They are clearly police officers, surrounded by other bike police officers. According to everything I’ve read, they did nothing illegal.

I hear a lot of FEELINGS going around. How this FEELS unfair, and how it’s disturbing to people. But I haven’t seen one reputable source say that it’s ILLEGAL. She was wanted on multiple warrants, they recognized her, arrested her, and drove off.

I believe that’s called Capital Murder.

I can’t WAIT to ride these up and down the street once we ban all cars from urban areas.

So edgy.

Stand by the comment all you want; you’re still wrong. And maybe I and everyone else that I know who has a V8 in their vehicles don’t scoff at dumb shit is because we’re competent educated adults who understand the difference between something important and something trivial and not worth our time to worry about.

Go forth, young man, and learn to sue people successfully, so that someday other people will pay you large sums of money for your legal expertise.  With that money, you shall buy cool cars, and it will be good.

Counterpoint: Until VERY recently, Aston Martin held the dubious distinction of making the ghastliest steering wheels of all the upper luxury auto manufacturers.

An Aston Mustang, I see.

Oooh!! Just what I wanted! A LIMITED PRODUCTION RUN vehicle that will cost even MORE money to repair!! Hooray!!!

Neutral: No.

Considering I have worked in finance for two decades, yes, I understand the difference. I still don’t think you do, though. I’m talking about a corporate P&L statement, and the difference between revenue (like selling tax credits, which is taxable revenue) and tax breaks (that are used to calculate total taxes, which

The vast majority of subsidies that the oil companies get are in the form of tax breaks. Like what Tesla just sold to other companies. It isn’t revenue.

Correct. With that said, the vast majority of companies that have continued running at a loss as a large cap company have gone out of business. You might know of one of the only other companies to have made it out of that doom, Amazon.
