i had a '77 Cougar with a 302. it was HOPELESSLY slow. i loved it anyway... when you turned the steering wheel in that car, it didn't feel like you were guiding the car along the road so much as cranking the horizon back and forth across your windshield...

this is my sorry 15-year-old ass in my rustbucket '70 Malibu, circa spring/summer 1985. i think i paid $100 for it. one of my dad's employees sold it to me. 307/Powerglide. kinda wish i still had it...

I realize I am opening myself up to ALL MANNERS of derision here, but I always kinda got a kick out of DudePerfect. My kid discovered them a couple years ago when he was looking for basketball trick shot stuff on YouTube. It's goofy, but it makes me smile. Granted, I could definitely do without their current choice

I'm kinda partial to this one on the front of my '65 Impala. The rear one is similar, but without the V shape.

Relevant, maybe:

Started my daughter on this a couple months ago. She's doing pretty well. I figure if she can handle this, a modern Camcord or something similar should be a piece of cake. All hail the mighty Snotrocket.

I've even gone one step further and made a dummy coil wire out of vacuum hose.

They can have my '65 Impala when they pry the wheel from my cold, dead fingers.

Eerily accurate predictions of future technology? Check THIS out:

Yeah, I know. But when we were kids, we all wanted one of these. In this color.

I was gonna post the Conquest/Starion in electric blue if nobody else did. Good call.

I would have posted this if you didn't. I still go back and read the C&D review for laughs.

There's a joke in there somewhere about paying the Piper, but I'm not good enough to fish it out...

Other than maybe new rear springs to cure what appears to be a slightly saggy ass, I'd drive it just the way it is...

that one is BRILLIANT...

Totally with you on that. I always thought the Koup had the proportions of maybe a 3/4 scale Camaro. If they'd scale it up a little and put it on the Genesis coupe chassis, maybe with less technology gizmos and the V8 from the defunct Borrego to keep it distinct from the Genesis, we could have another player in that
