I passed on one of these for something like $1k back when I was in high school in the '80s. The seller scared me off by telling me about some engine oil seals that needed to be replaced frequently. Still kicking myself in the ass for missing that one.
I dunno. I kinda think this is simpler and would be cheaper if you did it today with junkyard stuff, and gets you to the same net result:
Hahahahaha now I can't either
Piggy reference FTW
yeah I caught that too.
I had to Google "Slim Pickens riding the nuke". Made my day.
A Mercury Grand Marquis slot car? (ears perk up)
when i hear "Ferrari salesman," this is always the first thing i think of
Holy shit. That first vid is just surreal.
My brother's wife had a 2007 or so Yukon. They had to have underhood wiring harnesses replaced twice because apparently the local squirrels thought they were tasty.
damn i miss my '70 MC from my college days. motor was toast when i bought it, so i put a crate 350 in it. power windows, power locks, bucket seats, a/c, factory fiberoptic light monitor system (everyone told me it had to be an add-on till i showed them the page where it was listed in the brochure as an option). and…
How did this get passed over for COTD?
So now do they have to ride to dinner together in the same rent-a-car?
Toad, is that you in that beautiful car?
As others have said below, I prefer the previous generation Mark VII, but this ain't bad at all. NP.
I'm with you on the VII being better-looking. And there's an absolutely ridiculous amount of aftermarket stuff available for Fox-body cars. I would drive one of these in a heartbeat, and I'd definitely choose this over the VIII.
Ya know, once upon a time you could do this. Which is why every now and then, someone finds a '69 Nova or some such that came from the factory with a 396/4-speed and a bench seat, AM radio, no A/C, manual steering and manual 4-wheel drum brakes. I bet they didn't sell many that way, though...
There was a crazy old woman like that who owned several houses in the town where I work. They all had a couple of '60s or '70s era cars parked and rotting out back and she wasn't getting rid of any of them. Years ago, I tried to find out about a '66 Caprice coupe she had and was summarily stonewalled. Not long after,…
