this interview only makes me love her more than I already do. she is so well-spoken and smart!

She is fantastic on the show. I was wary at first, because I had such oversized hopes for it even before it began, but it hasn't disappointed and she's the reason why. It warms my heart that she's so articulate and unafraid to voice an opinion in real life as well.

The black kid being the third POV on white people also cracks me up. Especially the "white dude and an Asian dude, bonding over a black dude? This cafeteria is ridiculous" bit.

Wu and Park have been excellent, Eddie and the white popular antagonist are also great. Two problems: they don't need the Dewey-style little brother (it's fucking annoying, family sitcoms need to stop with the zany/zen young child archtype [Black-ish was doing it, but has cut back on it a lot], and the way they're

It's not use of an accent alone, it's that the accent was used as a source of humor in the past: "Haha, stupid Asians, always mixing up L's and R's!" Jessica's a funny character who has an accent.

Fantastic interview. Fresh Off the Boat is such a good show. My wife and I are loving each episode.

Constance Wu is a really funny and talented actor. I'm on break this week and decided to check out the show. I tore through the 5 episodes in an afternoon. I think Wu's Jessica is my favorite character, but they have all been great. I also appreciate Grandma's knitting. I hope this show gets picked up for multiple

So far Constance Wu is the breakout star of this show.

Then don't. There are plenty of places where it's been uploaded.

They sound actually how my very well-educated college students from Taiwan talk.

love it when actors are smart. This show is quite funny. I hardly ever laugh out loud even at shows I love, like new girl, but the latest episode of fresh off the boat had me giggling thoughout.

I really like this show. I was prepared to have issues with it but I like it. Constance Wu is a fantastic actress and can sign (as in this week's episode). It isn't the lines or timing that I enjoy most about her, it is the tiny gestures she makes that are incredibly realistic. Randall Park plays the husband who is a

This is my current favorite show on TV, and Wu is a big reason why. Her timing is impeccable. I grew up with a lot of Asian-American kids whose mothers were an awful lot like "Jessica."

How about just watching the show and forming your own opinion?

It is so refreshing to see an actress who gives intelligent interviews instead of the typical "Yeah, it was really fun . . . XXXX is so great to work with . . . We're all having lots of fun." Every interview I've read with Constance Wu gives me a sense of who she is and how much she brings to her craft. So glad she's

"You are trying to dissolve the crouton.."

I found this show makes fun of western/white culture more than anything and that's kinda why I've loved it. It's one of the few sitcoms where I've literally laughed out loud. When she gets to the supermarket and asks "What is this store so excited about?" and later remarks that the interior is like a hospital, I

SHE'S 26??!!! Jesus...I need to put down this donut and do something with my life.

Her character is my favorite part of the show, mostly because of how much I can see parts of my mother in Jessica Huang. My mother also had me at a young age, and had come to America when she was 9.

While I am not Asian-American, I am the child of immigrants. The show is far from perfect, but it's the first time that I feel like I have seen so many of my childhood experiences reflected on TV in a way that is both funny and honors how hard it is to navigate two cultures while figuring out who you are as a person.
