“A lack of preparation on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.”

It is what he said at the beginning, my issue is that he then went on to treat both incidents as equal by the end when they could not be less so. The context of the entire message is what I’m taking issue with.

Where are you going to park it on the street or in your single spot in the apartment parking lot you are given?

Having a trailer also means needing a place to store it. It’s common for HOAs to not allow storing a trailer. From this perspective, trucks are “easier” to deal with.

Some designs are so stupid, so utterly lacking in any commonsense, you wonder how on earth it got built in the first place.”

I’m sure, on average, they’ve gotten longer with the rise of crew cabs, but at the extreme, a ~250" F-150 has been available since at least 1980.

Not sure that was the best use of a bar graph...

The real meat of the story and source of anger isn’t them quibbling over using the word “Cruise”. It’s what you slipped in right at the end - that this shit is gonna be a goddamn microtransaction.
I’m gonna go on the record for this - every single auto manufacturer can take their microtransactions and over-the-air

While I was in college, I did security for special events like Coachella... I fucking hate dealing with drunk people. I had to chase down an Australian that kept peeing on peoples tents at 5am.

I was gonna go with a “Your mom’s buttplug” joke but I guess actually IDing it works too.

I don’t know the status of Biden’s infrastructure bill, but these truck vs. bridge/overpass collisions seem to be awfully effective at getting overdue repair work happening.

Erik, it was a racing incident, pure and simple. Neither driver was about to yield the race to the other right then. Both drivers were going for the same thing and hoping that the other would bail out.

I call bullshit.  No way a Dodge of that era was going 15mph reliably.

The FIAT 500x seems like it should be better than that.

to be clear, I never said mine was a bright idea

Torch: Home made fixes are not a bright idea.

Every publication tells us that if you’re towing you’re better off with a diesel, otherwise the upcharge and higher mpg vs a traditional gas engine is well over 100k miles and arguably not worth it. And that’s not including the servicing for turbo and all that it comes with.

I’d like to see a non-EV list of every car that gets 30 combined MPG, it’s probably not very long. And it’s likely comprised mostly of vehicles we don’t want to drive.

Well, you see, a guy who was self taught made it to space and let a bag of M&Ms float around. Obviously a huge problem all around.

An executive leaving a company would likely want to diversify his investments. Maybe he does think Tesla stock will take a hit, but it would be a bad idea to leave his money all in one stock either way.
