Is there a GoFundMe that I can contribute to so the chip shortage will continue forever?

Am I the only one excited about the chip shortage now? What special parts used in automatic transmissions can we start a shortage in? How about drive by wire steering? Would it be so bad if a shortage caused all cards to be sweet sweet analog deliciousness?

This site is also realistic that Teslas are good EVs. Bradley wrote an article about how good the Model Y is as an EV. Jason wrote an article attributing Tesla for removing the public’s stigma about electric vehicles and making them mainstream.

Thanks for writing this out, Jason; I’m sure a thick skin is needed in web journalism (“web” was probably unnecessary there) but it rankled me to see people attacking Elizabeth so vociferously. A statement in the form of a standalone article is well-appreciated.

In a 2 door version of this, they may have the space for a front under-bed compartment like the 1980s El Caminos had. I’m thinking something accessible from behind the front seats, enough for a couple backpacks, small day luggage, duffel bag etc.

Obviously very dependent on what’s being towed. You’re probably doing some serious towing while I’m usually just pulling cars around. The towing I’ve seen from EVs is usually lighter than the cars I pull, such as in the tweet example above. 

Situational awareness?

Swapping out incandescent reverse bulbs for white LEDs is perhaps the simplest “mod” of all (other than adding a +5hp sticker of course)... but there is real satisfaction in seeing those babies light up white.
