No one is surprised, we just all had over/under bets going for how long it would take. What is surprising is how “donations” are legal in the first place. Maybe not surprising... bewildering?

Wtf are you talking about with this 30/70 split? As of 2019, 65-85% of Americans live in urban centers or their surrounding suburbs, depending on which census statistics you want to look at. Why is mass transit inappropriate for suburbs? I know tons of people who use trains to commute into urban centers for work and

I agree with almost everything you say. But there is one huge difference in how we think about this.

Hyundai Kona EV Owners Are Mad”

They REFUSED to publish my story about my Miata getting locked to a Supercharger! It’s been there 7 months, still on E.

Another Tesla hit piece from Jalopnik. You wouldn’t even be writing about a car being locked to a Supercharger if it weren’t a Tesla! I haven’t seen a single post on Jalopnik about other cars locked to Tesla Superchargers.

Easy Answer:

I used to be like that. Hell, I still don’t mind the tracking ads for stuff when I search over the internet - it’s the deal with the devil, I get that.

But not many people hit the hilarious trifecta of misusing Autopilot, driving on a suspended license and crashing into a cop. It could have only been more stupid if they crashed into a jail. lol

Neutral: MA just announced that mid-April is when the jab opens up to the rest of the population. Clearly the plan is to hit herd immunity by mid-May at the latest.

I’m in Virginia, home of “go to actual jail for speeding,” so that 24 is with the cruise set to 65.

My wife’s 2012 Yukon XL ahs it too and just passed 90k with zero problems. Also seamless transition. You don’t know it unless you have the info center set to the fuel economy screen and see it switch from V8 to V4

Almost nothing for parts/repairs/maintenance and averaged ~36mpg. My total cost per mile on that car was <$0.20/mi. It was a good car!

I always get that one anecdote that someone can still find a beater for under $1000.

I don’t even think it’s really referring to the USPS, just the idea that a government moving to an electric fleet is a really good thing for a company that makes electric trucks.

I read that as a CEO of an EV company being excited about the government supporting clean energy and EVs. I did not see any indication from that statement that he was “sure” or “confident” that his company would get the USPS contact; in fact Schrader didn’t even bring up the USPS contract, the host did.

He did what a CFO does, and sounded optimistic while committing nothing. If he said “we’re almost certainly going to win some of all of the NGDV contract”, then I’d see the cause for suit.

BREAKING: The CEO of a large company is vaguely optimistic about the chances of receiving a contract from the federal government.

When an Oshkosh truck shows up to deliver that subpoena...

I read that as Schrader believing that Workhorse had a great shot at the USPS contract due to Biden’s comments. Unless evidence comes out that Workhorse already knew they were out of the running, these comments are just optimism.
