I would also be worried about payload/towing max numbers. But I already know the long range towing is ruling this out as a purchase I can make, unfortunately.

Exactly. I could care less about the noise but towing is going to easily rule it out for me.

As long as there is no capability compromised to make it an EV. That is a big question.

Welcome to 2021, where everything’s running out and supply chains don’t matter.

Didn’t Ford and Rivian both patent something similar but for trucks that you just stick in the bed when you need more range?

Thanks for clarifying, immediately thought of ads and wondered who would possibly think that.

Immediately came to the comments when I saw that, thanks for beating me to it!

My Silverado was easily accessible for jump starting, but to swap batteries it took over an hour of work as you had to remove the airbox and intake tube, a fender support, and a few other things to remove it.

Might not be unique to Tesla but any car with a key can avoid this issue by easily being able to access the battery. Also, couldn’t you just put a trickle charger plug somewhere easily accessible to plug in the regular car battery as well?

Yeah, where is it less than $3? Just paid $3.09 for gas the other day.

I’m sure someone is going to rig up something unsafe. Cue the people filling grocery bags.

We’re going to need a bigger courtroom...

A quick google search shows that Tesla’s have had rust issues and, while I haven’t heard specifically of the Ford rust issue, I do know that Toyota and GM both had some pretty big rust issues as well. Toyota’s trucks going so far as to have to replace the frame if my memory still serves me correctly. I don’t think

I think it’s going to be 2022 before we start to see things straighten out with the car market in reality.

Weird, the salesmen that I’ve talked to all get flat rates. Doesn’t matter if it’s an F-150 XL or F-150 Platinum.

Wow, through the shirt and all? That’s wild.

Ah, then I could see where it would come into play. If it’s a vehicle I really wanted/needed I would be willing to wait, but I know most people would not.
