Well, many times I've been to IKEA only to have a meal in the restaurant.
16 years witha full IKEA kitchen, still going strong. Saved a ton of money with kids inputting choice of colors and what goes where. If you don’t like DIY or can’t follow simple assembly diagrams, by all means go custom. BTW, IKEA cabinets modular, app you can completely custom design your kitchen.

I have a really ancient machine. It's doesn't have enough memory for FreeNAS. Oddly enough I can run WinXP on it and happily fileshare videos to Windows, Android, XBMC and even the PS3. Works quite well.
