Wait a second. C-3P0 says to Artoo that Underoos are "for Earthlings". How are the droids aware of Earth? Our planet exists a long time in their future in a galaxy far, far away. Presumably, then, every character in the Underoos commercial is aware of us. Boba Fett's been fed to the Sarlaac, so that just leaves the

Never mind! I was missing something. My brain, mostly.

I'm only seeing one clip in this post - am I missing something?

I'll hate on Peter Jackson! Nothing to do with 48fps, mind you. Just give me a call when you need some uncomplicated Peter Jackson hatred. Use the discount code "King Kong".

But can they whistle a jaunty tune? Come on, Silence. You know how to whistle, don't you? You just put your... oh. Oh my god I'm so sorry. I'm so very, very sorry.

Isabel Lucas is 85% cheekbone.

Possibly, but the movie implies that the Source Code realities are 'created' by the program. I was going by the assumption that there are no realities available beyond the ones that the Source Code creates.

(Spoilers if you haven't seen the film)

Maybe this will be the Red Dawn remake we deserve. Or don't deserve. Did we deserve the original Red Dawn?

I am so looking forward to Locke & Key.

There's nothing that Katy Perry can't turn into a retrograde fantasy.

The first thought I had after seeing this trailer was "When is the io9 shot-by-shot analysis coming?"

If they had dialed down the shaky cam every so often to give us a break and let us see an alien now and then, it would have been a much more enjoyable film.

I'm really liking some of the casting choices for this film. Snyder isn't particularly good with directing his actors (or maybe you, unlike me, were able to make out Matthew Goode's mushmouthed dialogue in Watchmen), so I think he'll benefit from using people with really strong instincts.

That's right, they used Chinatown before in "Snakehead". But I'm not sure why you say it's "more" one thing than another. I was just noting the Scorsese-ish way in which they filmed that particular scene. It was strongly reminiscent of Taxi Driver, Bringing Out The Dead and a particular scene in The Departed. I was

Speaking of Taxi Driver, I thought that the Chinatown sequence, with its shadows and smoke and saturated colours, had a real Scorsese vibe going on. Maybe the 'Manhatan' of Earth-2 never underwent the same Guiliani-era cleanup that ours did.

Well now I HAVE to go see it. I want a movie that will flatten my brain and fill up my head with a nihilistic numbness. I guess I'm hoping for the film equivalent of the Anti-life Equation.

Young lady, there are no monsters in the Oval Office.

Are there prizes for episode titles? Because Supernatural should win all of them.
