I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it’s hard to list it as one of the best ever, particularly when the Angel finale is right there.

ETA: Folks, I gave you an out by appending that additional “toxic” modifier to “average Star Wars fan.” Not my fault if you’re telling on yourselves.
For my ally is the fan service. And a powerful ally it is. Luminous fan service are we; not these crude comments.
I think Druckmann is saying we have not seen the last of them.
Gonna be honest, this is a pretty wild read that makes me think the division caused by the ending will not be mitigated at all. Because to me, I was thinking during the finale: “Wow Joel comes off even worse here than in the game.” Especially because the show, for the most part, has avoided Joel being depicted as a…
At the end of the game, it is revealed that Bobby Ewing isn’t really dead and the whole season of Dallas has been a dream. We only find out when Victoria Principal finds Patrick Duffy in the shower. No one who played the game could believe this happened.
It makes me feel so good that the worst people in the world are so upset at all the awards this movie has gotten.
Add this to the pile of thing Andor ruined: filming on the Volume as opposed to actual locations. God, this whole show has such a dull and ugly visual palette, even seeing those screenshots up there reminded me of how washed-out the whole thing looks.
Let’s go back to the article last week about whether or not “Andor” will make “The Mandalorian” look even worse.

Ha, some dumbass claiming that killing off John Connor was too “woke/feminist/etc.” in a series where Sarah Connor was the main character of the first two universally-beloved movies. To that I say:
I mean, it’s a pretty big deal when the missing Monica Vitti from L’avventura shows up at the end of Taxi Driver to team up with Joan of Arc and take down Michael Corleone. It just won’t make as much sense if you haven’t seen them all in order.
It’s a good choice, although I like Akerman’s News from Home even better.
They’re tedious, not kooky
Mediocrity’s not spooky
It left me feeling poopy
The Addams family . . . spinoff series Wednesday
“The wealthy homeowners of Oak Bay, British Columbia have been shaken out of their comfort by an agent of chaos.”
I love that Syril’s superpower is annoying the hell out of all the wrong people.
Goddamn is this show ever great. It’s reminding me a bit about the early 70s cinema turn to grit and antiheroes and the whole embrace of moral ambiguity. I particularly loved how, during the robbery, the Rebels haughtily self-justify themselves while kidnapping a relatively innocent woman and her son, basically…
Jesus. It makes me want to actually watch House of the Dragon just to support this apparently too-inclusive casting that people are bitching about.
When can I preorder the leather bound print edition of The AV Club Reports on Don’t Worry Darling Volume One?
there’s nary a transformation Theron isn’t willing to take in the name of a strong creative vision
