Everything in me hopes he finds it, but it’s highly unlikely. If his can’t be found, he should buy another neglected old Bug out of a junkyard or field and have it restored to look just like the one he had. Just because his doesn’t exist anymore doesn’t mean he can’t save somone else’s first car.

I believe it’s already avaliable. If I recall correctly it was called the Mustang II.

Not much of an increase in price over the '14 model, now all we need to know is how it drives...

Definitely going to take a look at this next year when the auto show rolls around. If it really looks as good as this I'll consider getting one used when they get a few years on the design.

That is a concern- however, I think a mediocre at worst car wouldn't be able to do real damage to the Chevelle nameplate.

My votes are for "Chevelle" and "Biscayne".

The problem with Allantes was all in th price. They were actually quite nice cars, and had GM decided to slash prices and sell them as Oldsmobiles, I think we would have seen quite a few of them back then.

This was awesome. Wish the Nurburgring still had so many economy cars today. That part about halfway where the fellow falls out of his Volkswagen then gets up and dusts himself off had me lol'ing so hard.

Perhaps Roadkill? Other than that, I would agree that most car shows can't act as the gateway into cars, but only as a supplement for those who already love automobiles. Even Roadkill is a hard sell from that viewpoint.

Good point. Something tells me that Roadkill would never be able to make me want to buy an early 90s Rover sedan, but Top Gear did. Roadkill is awesome, and I will continue to support it, but Top Gear was not nearly as biased towards one form of car as Hot Rod is.

Well, this is a crying shame.

What really has me scared here is the number of cars that sell less than 2,000 units a year. What happened to the auto industry?! Wasn't it just five short decades ago that you could get 800,000 people into a new Mustang per year? What gives?

You aren't a dishonor...

1983 Ford LTD (fox-body) with 5.0 Mustang engine swapped in, because you can't go wrong with a crew cab Mustang. Especially for only $4500.

This thing just looks plain MEAN! I love it!

Do a commemorary burnout. The car deserves it for it's faithful service to Jalop kind.

A car with only 40k on it for $7,000?

Why have I never seen this before?! It's breathtaking!

If given $3,000 and a Top Gear style set of challenges, I'd take this hands down. You don't see these anymore, and this one with 4WS should handle great and run forever. I don't even see any of the typical Honda rust.

First of all, like others have said, I have no garage, tools, or other resources with which to work on my cars. Even if I did, I probably wouldn't touch them because they are just worth too much money and mean too much to me. It was a different world 30 years ago when you could pick up an old Impala or Galaxy for $400
