The GOP isn’t quite sure whether it wants to associate with white supremacists, unless they are currently the President, or White House chief of staff, or Congressmen from Iowa, or running for Senate in Virginia, or Tucker Carlson or Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity or Anne Coulter. 

I quit watching the show for exactly that reason, Phil being so goddamn annoying, such a dipshit.  It’s hard to watch a show where the protagonist is an obnoxious moron responsible for all of his problems.  

Agreed I generally really liked the show, but Tandy being an idiot was just too much at times. He even annoyed me more than Fred Armisen's character and I often dislike the characters he does.
