High humidity is no joke! We do get much higher when the storms roll in, which is right around this time of the year, but it is stickier when you still have anything under 50% and temps well above 100F. If the monsoons blow in we can easily be in the 80s and above for humidity for mercifully short periods of time.

Going shopping in a bit here and I’m going to see if my market has this in its relatively tiny ‘Hispanic food section’. But we do have a lot of Goya products, as this is in Az, so chances are good. I’ll throw this on some pork tendies I’ve got brining in the fridge, if I can find it. Thanks, Kevin!

When you’re not used to it, people start dropping from heat events like these. It’s crazy how places like Ontario are now getting nailed by record temps.

Yup, we got a bit of one just last night from the outflow winds. I had the pleasure of restaking my newly planted palo verde this morning, as it was blown over in last night’s storm. No precious rain fell here, just dust and tree-knocking-over wind.

Oh, I completely agree! But that still hasn’t stopped the postal service from cheaping out on trucks with air conditioning. USPS has said that they simply don’t have the money to buy or retrofit an entire fleet with air conditioned vehicles and given the competition from other services, I tend to believe them to some

I’ve got a 2'x3' piece of polished marble that I ice down for the few times I break out the rolling pins. I bought it for like 5 bucks, which was a steal, from a place that does a lot of their business making headstones and monuments for graveyards. The guy that sold it to me disclosed that it was a ‘reject’ and it

It somewhat rare and hasn’t happened this year so far, but when it hits 118F/47.7C and above they start thinking about shutting down the airport (which is a major hub), as commercial aircraft start having difficulties generating enough lift due to the heat.

The problem is that they have to constantly open their doors for mailboxes and most of the delivery people find it’s much faster to just get out and walk much of their route and then jump back into their trucks to refill their bags. Most of the trucks do not have aircon in them and have minimally insulated cabs

Yeah, right now it’s a nippy 95 with 37% humidity and 64 dew point, but it’s better than the 114 we had yesterday. We’re in our ‘wet’ season where we get monsoon flows with increased humidity. Maybe we’ll crack the 4" mark for rain totals!

Maybe we’ve unknowingly been crash test stomach dummies for the launch of Impossible Steak®?

Too bad that someone in the press isn’t willing to fall on their sword with something like this:

Of course this load of shit about racism was made only so that he could claim that there’s no possible way he is a racist. “But I said I’m not a racist, so I’m not a racist!” Oh, how it must have pained him being forced to even say such a hilarious lie like that! But just wait a couple of seconds and he’ll do

Dumpian police state.

I’m good with this! Call them as they are! Psychopathic pieces of shit. But oh, this might be ‘offensive’ to similar pieces of shit! If they survive capture, stuff them into a hole somewhere dark and nasty and forget about them for a good, long while. Not quite ‘disappeared’, but certainly not effing glorified and

Ha! I love that on certain sites you can be modded for rightfully calling the shooter a psychopathic piece of shit! Oh noes, I ruffled some alt-reich feathers! :-)

It’s still potable water and I’m sure that the water that has been in the pipes was cycled through during installation and is probably filtered as well. The water that goes into sprinkler systems and water fountains comes from the same source anyway, but I understand your concern about water that may have been

I still love my uncle’s wrapping job that he did for my cousin when we were wee snappers. My cousin was notorious for trying to stealth pre-open gifts that were under the tree and his dad fixed that problem one year. We went over there and noticed that there was just a one largish box with my cousin’s name on it and

So are there hurl buckets stationed around the wienermobile and just how large are these buckets? It sounds like they will need a lot of these buckets and in large sizes. I’m guessing that it will be something like watching what happens to the participants after the Nathan’s hot dog eating contest when The Purge

It sounds like you have a much better handle on Korean cuisine, as my knowledge is pretty much sadly nonexistent. I’ve never tried gochugara, but anything pepper/chili is right up my asle. Growing up the first couple of years in Oahu help to start to give me a love and a basis for Japanese and some of the regional

Yeah, at least he didn’t take a front hit. The header picture gave it away, but if Mr. Flat Brim would have turned his car into a giant flaming arc welder o’ death, I wouldn’t have been too surprised. And despite playing it up to be cool to all of the other kiddies, I bet he was thinking inside “Why in the EFF did I
