My understanding is it's been less "milking the same cow" and more "our KS campaign was successful beyond our wildest dreams so we added a bunch of stretch goals that unexpectedly took years to work through".

I’m guessing they replaced the standard suspension with Orbital Drop Shocks.

Yes, thank you for informing the OP, who called it a “show”, that it is in fact a show, tremendous service you’ve done

They’re aware it’s a show. They used the word “show”. A show can look cheap by show standards, which is what the OP is saying is the case here.

I don’t know what it is, whether its the compositing or color grading, but something makes this look cheap for some reason, it doesn’t feel like a big budget show, instead feels like one of those old direct to video type things like forward unto dawn, etc...

I just use a random word each time because I play for fun.

The best starting word is farts and no-one will persuade me otherwise

This stood out to me as well. Why would you need NFTs just to have a RMT market for in-game items? Do they just expect people to be dumb enough to fall for it (granted, this thought is not without merit) or is this “VP of innovations” not understanding the concept himself?

But they don’t get it for now.”

which involved an unfortunate and isolated incident that occurred at one of our stores eight years ago.”

I was kinda hoping the extra fine was because they were drawing it put for so bloody long. Putting someone they poisoned trough eight years of legal action is worth a lawsuit by itself.

I wonder what sort of case they thought they had to keep fighting.

Lets be clear on why Cracker Barrel really got smacked with this fine: It wasn’t just that their employee accidentally poisoned someone. That happened, and it’s not good, but it wouldn’t be enough for the punitive damages in question. From TooFab, who did a better job digging into this than CNN did:

A quick look at the SDS and Eco-San appears to be a combination of bleach and lye. Fun!

I guarantee that the only reason it “was 8 years ago” is because Cracker Barrel kept it locked in pre-trial BS and litigation for 7-1/2 years.

This isn’t the first case of this happening either. A decade or so ago, a local pizza place had the same accident and the victim lost their esophagus since they took a larger drink.

100% correct, if you get sick from food poisoning but don’t die you still had food poisoning!

“disappointed” and Cracker Barrel are such a natural pairing that I almost didn’t read the article.  Hope the customer recovers quickly, but also realizes that it was almost a lot worse.  They almost ate the food.

They should have just settled that.
