The television show was completely neutered from Charles Addams’ original cartoons by ABC’s standards and practices. I love the show but it feels like a completely different beast compared to those original New Yorker cartoons which were often really morbid and sometimes even mean-spirited.

The family in the show were

Considering the attraction it replaced was a tax-deducted, pro-oil handjob for Exxon-Mobil, I would say this is a step up.

No love for "Werewolf Bar Mitzvah"?

I rewatched the two nineties movies last month and really enjoyed them, and was surprised that the second is a rare example of a sequel that’s better than the first film as it’s even more playfully macabre and they gave Christina Ricci much more to do.

I also watched the 2019 animated movie and it’s painfully bad, I’m

You mean “Werewolves of London” isn’t in your Halloween rotation.

It’s easy enough to find the original cartoons online and...no. Wednesday does not have an eggplant shaped head.

Charles Addams spinning in his grave sounds like a very Addams family activity, and a lot more interesting than anything in this film.

Plus, you get that cast and make it animated?! Chloe Grace Moretz as Wednesday? Bette Middler as Grandmama? Fucking OSCAR ISSAAC AND CHARLEZE THERON AS GOMEZ AND MORTICIA?! You kidding me???

Let us once again take this opportunity to rage at the fact that they cast Oscar Isaac and Charlize Theron as Gomez and Morticia, which is just fantastic casting, and then wasted them on a fucking cartoon.

Which is why I was initially kind of excited by the prospect of an Addams Family animated movie. You could have lot fun animating the original comics!...Or you could just do some Minions shit. Alas, they opted for the latter.

I’m actually gonna die mad about cawthon being a gem about quality control and offering free content, and then all the while turning his fat merch checks over to assholes who’d make sure I’d get drawn and quartered in the street for being queer. Fuck scott cawthon and anyone who’d defend him for “having an opinion.

If you took a moment to do some research, you’d realize that that’s not how 99.99% of other licensed movie projects work. Cawthon is not someone with professional movie production experience. The licensee holding up the entire production is not typically allowed, and having final cut control is absolutely asinine. It

Yup, also this version:

And Hollywood can tell him to go f**k himself.

I mean, yeah? He can destroy all good good will regarding the franchise he built from the ground up if he wants.

It would be hilarious if the FNAF movie bombs because the market is already flooded with movies using the same premise from abandoned scripts

But I also thought his whole shtick after all that was that he was stepping away from the franchise. If that were true, they shouldn’t give two shits what he thinks. The bigger story here IMO is what it potentially means behind the scenes of the series and what’s really going on rather than what he claims is going on.

Maybe Mel Gibson can direct. James Woods and Kevin Sorbo can star.

Jeez, it must be REALLY bad if Blumhouse is willing to pin it on Scott so openly.

At this point, it's not exactly striking while the iron is hot either.
