I always loved that book. The two sequels/companions are pretty good as well.

Alright, I need to own #8. That is just the epitome of ridiculousness. Look at the tits on that guy!

Well that's nice, I guess. Wasn't Marvel trying to, you know, win over female readers or something? Because I sincerely doubt that this will help.

This looks intriguing.

Gah, she's lucky.

@GeorgeDW: Heh, I can see how it could be read that way. Hooray for lazy writing!

@Goatse Fan Fiction: I don't like the guy very much, it's true. But he has just as much of a right to make asinine comments as any one of us has to call him out for it.

@01SNKOWNR: @WookieLifeDay: Oh, alright. I knew that he had become a rather big name at Marvel in a relatively short time, but I hadn't heard about any of the other stuff. Still love his writing, though.

@omgwtflolbbqbye: Ooh, does it add a lot to it? I picked up the Alias #1 reprint for $1, but I'm looking at buying the trades. They're pretty cheap on [www.tfaw.com] I'll definitely hold off on reading Pulse if reading Alias first is better.

@Defendant: I think that Warren Ellis's Red, Kick-Ass, Wanted, From Hell and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen all went faster/about the same.

I'm pretty calm when it comes to geeky things, as I can usually find some common ground in any discussion. It's when people start discussing politics or art that my blood pressure really spikes.

Why is Bendis considered controversial? I've only read Ultimate Spider-Man, and I'm just about to get started on Pulse, and I've loved everything I've read of his so far.

James Corden is absolutely adorable.

@WookieLifeDay: The distinction had been made, and what makes you think that I'm not?

@WookieLifeDay: You know, you'd probably feel better if you just went and had a bit of a cry in the corner for a while. Then you would perhaps realize that all of these "attacks" against Christianity that you have been vigorously combating in these comments have been imagined.

@Goatse Fan Fiction: Even if you find his views reprehensible, which is perfectly valid, he still has a right to comment here. Unless he writes something obviously trollish and offensive, but he isn't doing that.
