That’s true. I’ve yet to be in a cab where the taxi driver had no fuck clue where he was going. Can’t say the same about Uber/Lyft. Not to say there aren’t good Uber/Lyft drivers. But cabbies, traditionally, have not relied on a GPS to guide them. They know the roads well.

Have you used the new generation of Lithium Ion powered tools? Particularly the higher end ones like Milwaukee and Bosch?

That’s just choosing the right tool for the job. Yeah, the 12V isn’t going to work for a entire deck job on one charge (but my batteries take about 15 minutes to charge) but for simple around the house use, it’s a great tool.  Also works well when working on a car.

What contract?  You're operating on lots of assumptions.

Ah, OK.  I was reading this as normal team equipment.  Thanks.

Just another way the Simpson’s lied to us.

And now I realize I misread your comment as “throwing curves and changeups at a 6-year-old” which completely changes what I thought you were saying and makes my reply very dumb.  I agree with you fully.

You have to discount Hand’s innings, as he was a starter until 2016.

I’m looking on fangraphs, and if you look at 2016-2018, Familia has a slightly better FIP, but Hand is far superior in WPA, SIERA and xFIP.

Really, what were the Mets going to get for Armando Benitez v. 2?

Brad Hand has two distinct advantages over Familia:

I agree. Comparing Familia to the Hand deal or Zach Britton isn’t fair. Familia is not a lock down closer anymore. The million dollars in international bonus pool money is an underestimated asset as well.

Can we talk about the Wilpons and Madoff? Because, man, describing them as having been “hornswoggled” is a very generous interpretation of the facts. Don’t mean to give you shit, Roth, because it wouldn’t have made sense to relitigate that issue in the middle of an article that ultimately isn’t about Madoff. But it

I think this deal gets overblown. Sure it’s funny, but it honestly makes some sense: the Mets could have made more by investing the backloaded money each year. Lots of players have this type of contract language: I think Manny Ramirez is getting more than $1 million a year from Boston until 2025.

You are dumb bud.

Lots of things:

It’s easy for DHL to achieve net-zero when half their Global Mail packages sit in some warehouse in Suckyouoff, NJ for weeks on end.

Thanks for sharing this, I’m sure most of us would have no idea what to do if this happened to us or a family member.
