Weird annoyance for me is having random subtitles because someone on mine isn't good at english. I get completely distracted.

Like you said, the one part I'm missing in her 'being Alicia' is how personal issues changes how she behaves in cases. I was rewatching TGW and seeing some of the 'no fucks given' Alicia in Maia would be great.
They really should've rethought whether people would be able to listen to that voice for an entire season never mind more.
I think the reviewer is right to switch it up, they were critiquing the first half of the season based on the assumption that this show is a television programme with a season long arc and 1 or 2 main characters who we follow.
God that Mylene stuff in the photo shoot was so freaking stupid. We don't need soo many 'stylistic choices/gimmicks'. Even the cartoon stuff, as badly drawn as it was, fit better because it mirrors the obsession early hip hop had with animation ( like what they did with Kung Fu references in the first part of the…
any chief would do that and she only needed to convince the patient that she was better which she did… because she's better.
Most likely they would be allowed to keep 'essentials' but if they were sold the Lodges would have proven the goods weren't essential and therefore subject to seizure.
She is chief of cardio, she is better than riggs and it is her place.
I knew I missed something about the 'sorta family' thing Jackson said.
I think you're right and if there was gonna be an episode by episode review it would be up by now.
The power struggle only worked because we've already seen similar storylines unfold, they didn't do enough in the episode itself to make it impactful because he didn't seem a threat and we didn't care enough for the status quo to want it protected (besides loving Adrian).
I've seen a lot of people critique the show based on the synopsis but they actually do what you're suggesting. They show that she's happy at the end, they show exactly how the people that care about her try and fail to cope, that her idea of 'fuck y'all you're gonna feel so guilty when i'm gone' to those that hurt her…
I've been trying but I had to stop to often, besides the obvious slow repetitive stuff the show's so darkly lit for much of the episodes are its impossible to keep your focus.
That doesn't mean anything, they usually have a full season review for every netflix show before they do individual episodes. (But still little chance they'll do an episode by episode review)
My friends just skipped the first one when they showed it to me and I went back to it after I finished the seasons. They made a good choice for me.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Either just because she's incredibly creepy or because she's got plans.
You're right, it's more of an active decision to make the ensemble matter than just a plot-consequence of needing someone(s) to get Oliver's head out of his ass.
I agree with most of it except that this season includes some really weird time issues which I think affects how we see the character motivation. I have no clue at this point what is happening when or how much time is between or spent during episodes which makes me just like episodes individually, it doesn't feel like…
Most would let a lot slide but the point of having one person reviewing every episode is that it builds trust with the readers, that's why I specified that the reviewer wouldn't hold back because she hasn't let Black-ish off the hook just because they're doing so much right (like still questioning how they deal with…
Tracy Morgan was really funny very very long ago.
Besides that, seeing Fallon's face just reminds me the proverb of failing upwards is truly just about white men.
