But you see, there still would've been a racial pretext. The Trump of it all relates to the reviewer's feelings at this moment. The racial pretext relates to the direct quote of John Cho discussing how he'd never get cast in a role in American history… and they've got him playing one of the most famous people of

I don't want to judge you for one comment but saying things like "I didn't even notice that, why are you harping on about it?" always confuses me.

I didn't finish watching the episode once it became clear "the two black characters interact with slavery" but once I finished it a few days later it actually ended up being good. LoT is clearly self-aware enough to understand what story they couldn't tell in 40-odd minutes and thankfully didn't try.
I agree that LoT

I had no clue that happened either until I saw the recap here. And I normally pay close attention when I watch YTW

I wonder about the extreme mixed batch of child actors in the ABC comedies. Compared to most if not all other networks they've gotten some of the best child actors but the good ones make the average ones seem even worse. If you can get Marsai Martin who on earth approved that kid.

The soldier from Dark Matter actually showed 2 more emotions in the last 2 episodes (smug and angry) of Dark Matter. (if you recall / if you gave up on the show)

I stealthily chatted to a friend about being willing to watch the episodes with her because "my annoying mom and sister always put it on so I can suffer through it for you". Afterwards I realized my friend uses my netflix so she knew I've been bingewatching already. Screw it, I love the world the show built.

I'm here and I haven't watched since the 3d season and probably wouldn't have commented without the discussion in the comment section specifically being about not watching… ouch this hurt my brain.

Once the "Patsy's new manager" plot started I wondered how the writers expected us to forget the multiple careers Fiona has had, done (supposedly surprising) well at and then abandoned to never be heard from again. Didn't she party plan at some point with the same fresh ideas as her waitresses brought up this time

"Corporate synergy being used for good." - CW Mondays. I can't believe how much the episodes of Supergirl and Jane explicitly shared their vision for America.
I also love that this review mentions that the bluntness of the dialogue has been used for good. It's one of my few annoyances of Supergirl but I completely

If I remember my rumours correctly, that ended up being about Punisher already filming, which was unexpected, instead of the actor being on SHIELD.

The mole was actually from The 100 as well!

There were so many things said by both Jody and Danny that Mindy just took that confused the hell out of me. They've always had difficulty dealing with dramatic moments and inserting humour, I feel they rely too much on us "being in on the joke" of how awful these comments are and then choose not to show us that Mindy

I didn't read that in your comment but it seems we agree on that she has been written with different aspects but that you feel that those who "hold her up as a paragon" do it by ignoring some of these aspects when I feel like she's being praised because her complexities. Depending on whose praising of Claire we've

There was a reference to a billionaire being kept in a secret basement of Seagate, was that specifically referring to Justin Hammer?

I think you're falling into the pitfall of thinking that by asking for a real female character we're asking for one who isn't at all like the past. That kind of stopgap logic to representation led to female characters going from extremely demure to extremely sexual and ends up with both being seen as a trope.

Especially when they just stretched that scene / supposed slow death out when I had no faith he was gonna survive even before it began.

Theo Rossi looks like he's having so much fun with what little he's been given. Makes me want to give Sons of Anarchy another chance.

This is probably the best explanation for why Diamondback fell flat for most commenters. By not seeing him as the "calculating career criminal" beforehand, we had no reason to appreciate his descent to madness.
