It's blending a bit in my head but if I remember correctly he had to acknowledge it as a joke so that he could pretend it wasn't his actual name in front of the others.

I'm happy to see a mention of the scene with 4 black women talking about politics and justice. That is impressive not just for Marvel but for television in general and would've been impressive just by them being women never mind black on top.
That was the solution I also thought of immediately which would've been slightly less insane than what they ended up doing. (Methinks providing thematic synergy with how he got his powers prevented them from going with the MRI solution)
I do feel that it makes sense in the story. Firstly, movements can have conflicting results. Thinking of the Brock Turner rape case which just led to legislation reinforcing minimum sentencing when that does not at all solve the problem of rapists not being punished nor would most (intersectional) feminists agree is…
Speaking as someone who shared a room with 2 brothers most his youth, in general no comparison / talking about it comes up haha.
It clearly says on the top that this is a binge-watch review and regular reviews will come up an episode every two days which is exactly how Bojack Horseman was review, much like all other Netflix shows.
He seems to be the only career criminal who's treating it like an actual job.
I'd love to find out that she was called Black Mariah because of the white prep school she went to.
I was all for giving the writer the benefit of the doubt until I actually read that transcript. This may be in part because of the topic of the podcast that show but Clarke came across as extremely uncaring towards the woman who raised her since she was a kid, mostly alone as her dad left her to raise another family.
But The Hand is very much a "Why isn't this happening on a bigger/Avengers level?" … Not that that says much since Daredevil really screwed with The Hand. (In my view, precisely because the threat level was sold as too much for Daredevil and then underperformed)
I guess we'll never know.
The only reason I clicked it because I thought it was Matthew Morrison in the thumbnail and I was wondering if he can act. So the actual talent involved is a pleasant surprise.
The writer listed Cars twice giving me an instant fear that it wasn't a mistake but that there were two Cars movies coming out next year.
Very much so! Especially considering the (possible?) abrupt drop of the "white male lead" in favour of a show mostly centered on 3 women that had the most random but interesting one-off episodes.
From the last 2 episodes of the first season, I actually started to like it and this second season blew me away with how much they dared. (disclaimer: mostly in contrast to how terrible/dull those first few episodes were)
Even then, its not really a compliment towards the roundtable but the people chosen for it. Which I fully agree with, the people chosen were really good but giving everyone a max of 5 sentences to speak ruined the roundtable.
Yup, that most (state senates i think) made it a regular practice/joke to sneak another persons vote in before they could decide.
Those 2 seconds of Mariah make it seem like she can actually act since she seemed likeable which after watching several interviews of her over the years never gave me that impression.
Yeah, I feel like his version of comedy was acceptable in the beginning but everyone stepped it up a lot afterwards when he didn't.
Frank's influence is similar to James Blake's or Bon Iver's - the parts seem simple and nothing exceptional but the sum ends up really connecting with people. It seems simple on the surface but its so much more complicated to share so much of yourself in a track that it becomes universal.
