Yesterday was my birthday and it will forever be sandwiched between the day 20 years ago my childhood friend, essentially my little brother, was murdered at a house party and the day two years ago that my mother’s organs began to fail and we spent four days of hell living at the ICU.

Today was my first Demon Slayer free Saturday and it was just the worst.

Saying it doesn’t age well is acknowledging that it’s definitely of it’s time.
