As frmr Texas Gubernatorial candidate Clayton Williams once said to a group of rape victims, “Hey if its inevitable you may as well lay back and enjoy it”

So much this; when I left A&M in 96 compared to where I am today salary-wise 25 years later, I am not quite double my adjusted-income despite the numbers on paper looking like more than triple my starting salary. This with an advanced degree and all of my career spent in my degree’d field.

No doubt, I mean if there is a defect in the construction and a safety feature fails and injures a fan or spectator, what are they gonna do sue the freaking prince? That askin’ for a bone-sawin’. There is far more attention being paid to the filmable/viewable aspects of this due to the image-conscious nature of the

I actually am a construction expert, like professionally, including major sports arenas. Late stage acceleration of major projects like this is not uncommon and I would be willing to bet they have a plan in place with the local authorities having jurisdiction (which in this case is probably the Kingdom itself given

Right, my daughter follows them on insta and was telling me about this, frankly I think its great test of their skills if they have everything they need to keep everyone safe and fed and cooled, just really rough it for a couple weeks and drag themselves out once the soil conditions improve.

Someone dropped a rubber duck with that hashtag card in my wife’s TJ while our son had it at work one day last year.

Are they so awful for the casual gamer who doesn’t care about mods and cheat codes?  I just want to play in a beloved sandbox that I thoroughly enjoyed in my mid 20's.

I’m a casual gamer, I loved these games in their original releases on PS2 & 3, I don’t play these games with mods and cheats (occasionally I would cheat code to air drop the monster truck and tank in SA), I’ll miss the OG music but not so much it’ll ruin the experience, so am I really going to notice these issues? I

Perhaps, but only a 1/4 mile at a time.

What Millyard does is create mechanical art, however. The fact that some of his added-cylinder machines have thousands of miles on them now is a testament to the quality of work he does.

Could they use a shifting weight akin to what is used in a tractor pull sled to change the COG toward the rotational center after the release?

I only regret one vehicle purchase, 2004 Ducati ST3. I had just lost a HD Sportster in a bad crash and when I wanted to get back to riding the next year I had a wad of cash and thought I wanted something better suited to touring. The dealership was having an end of year/clearing out old inventory sale and they had the

the seller is giving the buyer a bunch of home goods and kitchen utensils, too.

Agreed, I managed to 100 both III and VC but I left SA about halfway through the driving school and could never figure out the girlfriend stuff.

Thank you I knew I wasn’t the only one bothered by this.

Star Trek 2, 3 & 4. I adored these movies and argued endlessly with my fellow nerd friends about how the USS Enterprise could mop the floor with the entire Imperial fleet, but having rewatched them back during the depths of the pandemic I realized just how poorly acted (obvious exception being Khan himself chewing the

Nothing burns as well as 3 year old gasoline.  /s

Don’t fuel pumps shut off at like $75 or something? I seem to recall encountering that problem in my old pickup with a 35 gallon tank back when prices spiked after Sept 11th. I guess you could pull through the 18-wheeler truck slots with the high-volume diesel pumps.

Diesel is $3.56/gal in my area, so no thank you on the notion of paying $850 for a full tank. However I guess in the apocalypse fuel will cost nothing so long as you can defend it.
