Papa toilets
Where I’m from, we call toilets “Johns.” This man is a father to all toilets. This is not an opinion, this is a fact.
The Simpsons episode where Homer wins “The First Annual Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence” pretty much perfectly describes most award shows and awards.
Celebrity news is getting so bleak lately that I flinch every time I see an actors name in a headline as I expect it to be yet another sexual harassment story. Oh know! Not Aziz! Oh phew! Never mind.
Would Picard say anything like this ?
Hm, I forgot about them.
Also, Vulcan extremists made perfect sense to me. Virtually every Vulcan we’ve ever seen has had at least a mild superiority complex. I’m not remotely surprised that there are some out there who have decided that it’s only logical to purge their society of emotional alien influence.
Man...I thought this was the best one yet.
Something which has bothered me to see from some of the more extreme fans. - declaring Discovery to be “trash”, actively wanting it to be cancelled and dismissing it as the worst thing in Trek history.
Sigh. Me afraid me have to agree. And me loved Zack’s reviews of earlier Trek series — they one of favorite things AVC ever did. But me very frustrated with Star Trek fans who not willing to let new show be new show and not retread of everything that came before.

Which costumes? I really like the earthforce uniforms. They’ve aged very well. though most of the aliens seemed to be dressed in various carpet samples.
How long before “demons from Hell are bad” becomes a controversial stance?
My wife had to take me to the ER last month (I was very out of it, long story too boring to get into), and of course they ask the “is he with it” questions—what is your name, what year is it...and the third question was “Who is our president?”
Not sure what you’re getting at in the middle paragraph there, though! Kids playing with time machines? TNG’s first episode? Did that happen in ENT?
I get what you’re saying, but Picard has a British accent. Though I suppose if you mix the obviously dark undertones of Lorca with the British accent it might come out a bit too heavy-handedly sinister, especially from Jason Isaacs who almost never gets to play the good guy.
