Offering a single model in the U.S. seems like sales suicide

I don’t know what to say to the fact that I keep making it into these slideshows, but thanks.
I maintain that with only a grille tweak, the Karma Revero would fit in super well with the Mazda Kodo design language of the 2010s. It could have been their Mazda 9 full size sedan, a modern 929.
Almost all the coverage I’ve seen mentions both their existence and the tracking that MS is using to “personalize” the experience:
As for you buyers out there, keep buying this thing so Miata keeps it alive. It’s one of the last affordable roadsters on sale today, and Mazda seems to want to keep the ND around for as long as they can
Public chargers are typically best used for road trips, and most daily-use charging should be done at home, if possible.
What car has long overstayed its welcome?
What car are you just sick of seeing?
Well good news - it seems even mildly used ones depreciate like crazy. You can find decent trim levels in the mid 30s and the base ones in the mid 20s now.
TBH I forgot the Telluride existed. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one.
And yet in just the last few years, Kia has also had multiple recalls for the Theta engine failure/reliability issues, not to mention the ongoing debacle from not installing immobilizers that’s led them to represent the lion’s share of stolen vehicles in cities across the US.
To be fair, many of the engine options Europe will offer would have no chance of acceptance in the US. For example, I think one of the lowest versions of the Skoda Scala (the budget VW Golf) has only ~90HP. Other than the Mitsubishi Mirage, you’d be hard pressed to find anything under 120 for sale these days
However, if you do upgrade to Windows 10, get ready to upgrade again soon as Microsoft is winding down security support for that OS in October 2025. As someone holding on desperately to Windows 10, I’m counting the days.
My eponymous Mazda millenia - specifically the millenia S: the top trim of Mazda’s failed luxury brand and the only factory supercharged car Mazda’s ever given us. 1999 was one of the last years before a refresh took away the smooth 90s styling reminiscent of the NB Miata and RX-7 (especially in the trunk shape)
I read the article and VW’s statement that it’s going to be a standalone BOF vehicle. I just don’t believe it one sec. Makes little sense from a cost perspective
I don’t understand how a brand like Kia can justify $60-80K for these when the market already showed that it wasn’t willing to put out $50k for the Stinger.
It’s clear we’ve absolutely loved having this Rioja Red beauty on our side
Oh wow, more than one color in the interior - why can’t we do that over here? Black on gray interiors are so depressing
In my first car, the airbag cover had a loose/broken clip, so to actually activate the horn, you had to first push hard enough to re-engage the clip, then it could make contact with the horn mechanism.
We forget how much internet connectivity has improved in those 10 years. Back at launch, you were lucky (or rich) if you were getting even 50Mbps down; major ISPs like Comcast were still selling 6Mbps bundle plans, and we were still in the heart of talking data caps because torrents were ruining network QoS for…
There’s something kind of magical about flying around a Pokémon world, seeing different critters running around, and jumping right into battling and capturing them without any of the menus and obstacles that wasted your time in previous games.
