disabling anything that might *potentially* be used as a weapon at *some point* in the future is the same bullshit justification they use to kneecap and pepper spray peaceful protesters because they *might* become violent *at some point*.

I already knew better than to watch Disney sequels, and I included Pixar in that.  I made one exception - for Toy Story.  What we really need is a full review of the 3rd movie.  So I don’t have to watch it, but I can be reassured that it was worth avoiding.

Another commenter pointed out, that this is by her own definition - that “people who menstruate” are equated with “women” but she has likely hit menopause.  Meaning that by her own conclusion, she’s not a woman.

Not to sidetrack a good point, but she’s also simply missing the concept of menopause.

Drive-thru, ATM, popping mirror back out after it got smacked in the car wash.  Most of these only involve one window opening, but still.

My point is that the protests making huge headlines aren’t even a tenth of a percent of the black population. A tenth of a percent of Facebook’s employees not showing up is not about the size of the group.

And there are more than 30 million black Americans. How many have to protest for the protest to be “valid”?

Twitter’s response is the best response. Actually deleting posts serves to edit his public image and make him look more favorable. It deserves to not be buried/hidden and it deserves to be flagged with commentary.

it’s meant to be cutesy and sweet, and it’s fine if involved parties want to call it that.

We will ... close them down (a speech platform) in the name of free speech.  Can he not see it?

Recipe boxes are about curation, not quantity. Otherwise, people would have just used cookbooks instead even way back when.  I organize my recipes digitally, but foods I’ve tried and like need to be kept easy to find - not lost in the vastness of the Internet.

One day, I forgot how to boil an egg. Literally forgot how. Dropped the eggs into boiling water, cracked half of them and they came out undercooked. Next day, I decided to heat one up in the microwave to finish cooking it.

Speak for yourself - I order fast food burgers sans ketchup exclusively.  Unless It’s a Sourdough Jack from Jack in the Box.  But that’s at least not American cheese.

No idea. Illinois (near St. Louis) here. Meat prices are regularly higher but I buy on sale. Even at $12.99/lb, an 8 oz steak is only $6.50

That must be some tough steak if you’re getting the meat and sides for under $6 / person

Good signal strength just means you have a strong connection to an overloaded tower. It’s probably just way beyond capacity. A lot of providers are having to deal with totally different data traffic patterns with the pandemic.  Especially where people who don’t have a home Internet connection are tethering and working

put them on a parchment lined baking sheet in a single layer (cut side up) and let them hang out in a 225 degree oven for a few hours.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with being unlikable. It certainly doesn’t always line up with your value as a human being.  But she’s kind of unlikable.

You could eat a steak dinner every day at home for what it costs to buy fast food for dinner. At least if meat is ever on sale again. Just eat at home if you can’t afford to support the restaurants.

Yeah...umm...
