Just so you are aware, when you are going that fast on a skateboard, you can’t just “stop”. He was going 30 plus miles per hour. You can’t just step off. This doesn’t have anything to do with how smart it was for the kid to be skating. It is up to the police officer to handle it like an adult. He didn’t.
Heavy Rain is a collection of really great moments and scenes that doesn’t hang together well as a whole when thought about for like... a second. Still, it takes talent to create those great moments. Just wish the connective tissue was stronger/existed in the first place.
Not all of the cops who were there were not doing their jobs, but it is hard to argue that the one who stepped in front of the kid to make him fall was protecting anyone.
That cop easily could have killed that kid. As it stands, he is going to have to have several surgeries on his leg because of this slam, which probably wouldn’t have been that severe if it wasn’t for said police officer intentionally trying to harm him.
Wings was very much a team that was in the right place at the right time. They created the meta on the spot, and with patch changes they kinda got left behind. Still, they were really fun last year.
I don’t believe that the WWE made the wrong decisions with the product. I just think that the Benoit tragedy really brought a lot of ugliness back up to the fore, and they are unable to truly shake it. 2011 Brandon Roy with his utterly fucked knees going out like a fucking old gunfighter against the Mavs was pretty awesome. He had no business being that good in that series.
