It’s a funny thing about the art and the artist.

Understood - I mostly wanted to clarify my own statement cause I know it probably came off as judgy. If folks are into it and its consensual, let your freak flag fly. Enthusiastic fan of enthusiastic consent over here :)
I grew up in North Jersey, the suburbs of NYC. I was raised to pretty much believe NYC, and specifically Manhattan, was the center of the universe. Like, it wasn’t something intentionally on my parents’ part, it just permeated the culture. The assumption was, growing up upper middle class, that I would one day work…
Of course they pressured the CDC. Of course they collaborated with Russia. Of course they intentionally withheld coronavirus aid from the coasts and urban areas. Of course they’re steering money towards Trump business interests. Of course Trump violated the Hatch Act. Of course.
I don’t think the issue is the law, but enforcement of it. Enforce it equally and consistently. White, Black, brown, uptown, downtown, cops, civilians, whatever. Wear a goddamn mask. I can’t believe this is the stick in our spokes. So fucking stupid.
I used to think he was a germaphobe. But I think it’s more specific than that. Germaphobes don’t raw dog porn stars. I think he just finds most people (including/especially his own supporters) disgusting and below him and not worthy of human touch.
I genuinely believe he’s already had it.
I read somewhere once that historically speaking, something like 1/3 of folks working as cowboys, ranch hands, and the like were non-white i.e. Native, Latino, Black, and mixed race. We’re definitely overdue for some more diversity.
Meghan Markle will wear the wrong color hat that shows total disrespect to the Queen, marks the end of the British Empire, and will be literally worse than the Blitz of London.
The worship and unself-conscious memes around Ron Swanson’s libertarian views and quotes are exhibit A that some people are too fucking stupid to be trusted with satire. I shudder to think of their reaction to A Modest Proposal.
If you like it, that’s fine. You shouldn’t feel ashamed. I’m just 1) surprised its so prevalent enough that it easily appears in 50% or more of the recent porn I’ve viewed and 2) it’s happening in real life w/out any prior discussion or consent. Like, people are into feet. I... think that’s weird. I actually think…
Lol yes like... are we supposed to be fighting about what Woodward knew and his obligation to disclose? Because all I give a shit about is what Trump knew and disclosed.
I think most shit will go back to normal with some major exceptions. The biggest one I can think of is Work From Home, which I believe will be much more prevalent.
Knowing he has history with Marvel it is interesting and kind of baffling he ended up working with DC. I know these guys go where the work is, just seems like a miss on Marvel’s part.
I think only a subset of Fiscal Conservative really were Fiscally Conservative. The rest of them were just using it as a scaffolding to hide their racism. Tea Party doesn’t have a lot to say about the national debt recently.
LoL my thoughts exactly. The simple notion of allowing people to vote and get that vote counted is partisan at this point.
I know Thanos is up there as an absurdist joke but Trump’s campaign has already favorably portrayed him as Thanos. Like... if Thanos was real, they probably really would want to nominate him. If they could build a Death Star and blow up Democratic cities, they’d do it. This isn’t about nuanced policy debate or…
I don’t think they should wait until she gets sick. I think like a month or so after he gets sworn in she should hang up the spurs, well ahead of the midterms. Obviously this depends on where the Senate lands but in the “Biden wins” scenario I feel like a Senate flip is probably in the cards as well.
ugh “accelerationist” bullshit
I only hear the “candidate, not parties” argument from self-described “independents” and “libertarians” who coincidentally exclusively bitch about liberals and consistently vote for Republicans.
