I can’t reply to your comment to me (“good egg”) because kinja is more fucked up by the week, and I can’t find that comment, so I’m replying to your only comment that I can find! 

I would also say it’s a good idea to check in with your doc, because there could be some actual physical/physiological issues; a vitamin B12 deficiency can present as depression, for example.

If it’s any reassurance, I believe that most therapists, etc. get into the field because they are compassionate, caring people, and want to help others, not primarily for the pay.

You might wanna see a doc about that. Even if it was a stone, and it was passed, you could have an infection.

I’m old enough that I remember when Ontario wines were like really bad vinegar. They have come a long way.

If the first ones don’t work, keep trying. I was lucky and the first medication I tried was effective. Good luck.

Have you been able to talk to your therapist about limiting contact with your mother? I know it seems like a huge step, but I pretty much cut my sister out of my life because of her self-absorption. It was hard at first, but then I realised that I didn’t miss her; I missed the person that I thought she was.
