If I won a ton of money, I’d renovate the house I’m in (a very modest 630 sq. ft 1 bedroom bungalow with no storage), maybe put on a second story with a master bedroom suite, and lots of storage. But I love my little house and I love my neighbourhood. I wouldn’t want to rattle around a huge empty, echoing mausoleum.

At the point where I encountered her, on our quiet side street, with very few people around, she could have taken the gloves off, and then used her clean hands to remove the mask using the ear ties. That would have been safer than what she was doing.

I was able to litter box train a feral cat, so that he became an exclusively indoor cat. Prior to that, he’d go out for his elimination needs and then come back in.

We’re expecting it in about 10 days; we’ve been told that “current plans will remain in place until April 19". With a big silence as to what happens after that. Read more

My neighbour Catherine was coming home from seniors’ hour grocery shopping when I was getting back from walking the dog. She was wearing a mask and latex gloves; all good. In the course of our conversation from either side of the road, her mask slipped a couple of times and she pulled it up with her gloved hands,
