As soon as I get home from work and have walked the dog, and fed everyone, I strip down, do a tepid sponge bath, dry off in front of a fan, put on some cornstarch (an organic “talc), and put on clean, dry, loose cotton clothes from the skin out, and then settle in front of a fan. The sponge bath removes the sticky

You could a “swamp cooler”; a bowl of ice in front of a fan, so that the fan blows the cool air at you.

Good news, but qualified, then. I had something similar; some little granularities that I had to have checked every six months for two years. And nothing came of it, but it’s still a bit nerve-wracking.

The thing about depression is that it’s such a downward spiral; you feel exhausted so you don’t go to your therapy session which makes you more depressed, which makes you more exhausted. And you’re too tired to do anything you enjoy, and the depressions saps any enjoyment anyway. And it’s hard to remember any time

I have a nice big tree at the front (west side) of the house, and most of the yards in my neighbourhood are heavily treed, so I rarely need a/c.

I find that once I acclimatize, 77-80 is actually fairly comfortable if you dress appropriately and have fans around.

Than you for posting these and bringing this situation to the attention of those of us in the west. I’m wiping my eyes right now.

Your spiritual sister!

I’ve just installed a heat pump (yesterday!). I don’t need a/c for most of the summer; my house is shaded by a big tree at the front, and I put a white roof on last fall, so it tends to stay cool unless it’s in the upper 80's (30 C) for more than a couple of days. As for heating; Toronto has been having warmer

My workplace is the same; sweaters, heavy socks and we use a heater in our office, while the a/c is on. Ridiculous.

I’m Canadian, so I laugh at your “winter” woes.

Oh my god! What a cutie pie! Love the fluffy Princess Leia buns/ears.

FINALLY they have fixed the comments!

To FusilliJerry; kinja won’t let me access your comment, or in fact any comments of yours (I spent a half an hour trying!), but Yoda is adorable! Good for you for taking him in. Neutering will likely help with his aggressive play, but don’t give in to temptation and let him use your hands as toys; hands are for

Same! And I’m having trouble accessing comments from approved commenters too.

A green hobbit door sounds adorable. Can you unbatter the door? Sanding, wood filler, etc.?

There are two Bengals in my neighbourhood who roam around; they wear gps locators, and the owners bring them in for the night.

Coffee is just stunning; that classic tabby pattern gorgeous.

There’s a running gag in the graphic novel The Punisher: Welcome back Frank. He’s trying to go straight, and has moved into a new apartment and all the neighbours are really friendly, including one woman who bakes cookies.

No, they do not. Not in the U.K. No large cats like cougars, and no wolves. No large predators left.
