Nah; I mean the middle one; with the short coat. They are a real working dog, and look like it. None of this glamorous hair flipping long luxurious coat. I don’t know why they seem to be in vogue, because they are not a showy, pretty dog at all.

He is still on GroupThink, so you can find him there, although someone has created a burner to be mean. This kind of blow up used to happen more frequently, but has died down lately. I’m sorry to see mean-spiritedness in commenters again.

He posted on Fur Face Friday on GroupThink;

It seems like the U.S. is almost the only country that doesn’t have universal health care.

Why on earth would they ban Krispy? He never says a bad word about anyone, and really just posts the shelter updates once a week. Maybe they figure the updates are too long? That’s the only thing I can think of.

If you’ve been a good tenant, your landlord will likely be okay with someone else moving in with you because it saves him the hassle of trying to find new tenants who are decent. There are so many bad tenants out there, and I say this as someone who’s been a good tenant, but had terrible neighbours in various rental

Congratulations! It’s lovely having your own space, isn’t it? I’ve lived alone for over 35 years, and I couldn’t possibly share my living quarters with another human at this point.

Now, to be clear, I’m talking about the Australian Cattle Dog, not the showier Aussie Shepherd. The Cattle Dogs come in two varieties; the red heeler, and pictured here, the blue heeler. They are a tough, hardy, smooth coated dog;

Turned out to be a muscle spasm spreading up from the pectorals, but ya never know, and my doc sent me for a raft of

It’s quite an old practice though; I recall hearing that books in the 17th century (?)would often be sold unbound, so that wealthy purchasers could have them bound so that the entire library would match. A bit boring if you ask me.

Well, having the spine facing out, with the title on the spine both protects the text block (the book interior) and makes it easier to find, so the trend of spine facing in defeats both purposes of having spines at all.

Have you seen the Rick Mercer segment about tagging bears in Algonquin Park?

I’d be inclined to chuck them, then.

Yep. Portuguese Water Dogs are the latest “It” dog in Toronto, and I suspect that Australian Cattle Dogs are going to be this decade’s version of the Border Collie; an intelligent, energetic working dog that needs a lot of mental stimulation and hard exercise that they won’t get as a sedentary city dog.

Jinni said “Cedar?”, and I’m wondering if they are just pine and cedar sticks, if they just smell like a wood fire. Which is a nice smell, but not what you’d expect from smudging sticks.

They are likely the same people who get a dog to coordinate with the decor.

Light one, and sniff?
