My first time in Arkansas from Los Angeles, I was amazed by all of the full size pickups being used as commuter vehicles. The overwhelming majority with pristine beds. And most with trailer hitches still wearing their original coat of paint in the receiver, having towed or hauled nothing but air since day one.

Pretty much every modification I made to any car from the age of 16 through 30.

Makes sense. Every time I went to a metro Atlanta gas station very late at night, it was like a party. Drinks flowing, music blasting. Beautiful people everywhere. Folks staring awkwardly at me like “did somebody lose their accountant? who let this dork in here?

Sounds like someone accidentally bid on this & is now trying desperately to lose the auction...

Last time I was pulled over, it was for passing an Arkansas state trooper on the right whilst taking a right hand corner on the interstate. I was going exactly the speed limit. So was he. But my vehicle, being on the inside of the corner, had to cover less distance and as a result, I passed him.

An FD, right? RIGHT?

Ooh, ooh, I know this one. Ford Mustang. Source: am colossal idiot, drive Mustang GT.

[Scrolls down... sees literally dozens of posts mentioning Mustangs]

Hello Road is a hidden gem of great production and an eclectic rotation of cars. Nice to see him get a mention here (aside: didn’t he buy your old 944?).

Are the sight-lines really as bad as they appear to be? They don’t look Camaro-bad, but that colossal “C/D” Pillar thing looks less than ideal, as does the hood height to driver seating position. I’d be interested in how far in front of the bumper a kid or dog would need to be before you see them.

The one I currently drive (when the carbs act right).

I upvoted you, but clearly you meant to say “Go Army”.

79 series Land Cruiser.

IROC Z. Still do.

Anyone who, in 2023, buys a recent Jeep or RAM product and legitimately thinks that 3-6 recalls per year is normal, acceptable or “worth it.”

My parents, much to my chagrin, purchased a 3rd gen Prius circa 2010. Irritated they eschewed my “buy a Mazda3" campaign in favor of the Toyota Hybrid, I set out to prove the “Clarksonian” theory that Prius aren’t efficient enough to outweigh the environmental damage caused by their logistics/battery mining within
