Jalopnik introduced us to this film in 2021. https://jalopnik.com/a-movie-about-a-woman-being-impregnated-by-a-car-just-w-1847315319

During an Army leadership school I attended a dozen-odd years ago, the “Modern Army Combatives” European champion in the Male Welterweight -155lbs & under- class grappled to submission (no striking, standing start, no time limit) against a much less skilled, less coordinated, slightly pudgy, bigger dude, around 6'2",

“Miata Is Always The Answer” (whose initials form “M I A T A”) is the correct wording.

They’re probably taking a page out of the book of the rest of the entirety of the south... They still have street names and entire educational institutions named for prolific slave holders. And they’re still, to this day, cutting roads for subdivisions and naming them after Confederate military victories / General

Apologies for multiple posts here but ref: Canoo - they also have (had?) a deal with Walmart (hence the Bentonville, AR “Momentary” picture above). The deal w/the progeny of Sam Walton was contingent on, like most Walmart supplier relationships, a brick & mortar presence here in Northwest Arkansas. However, the

Legit Street Cars over on youtube just picked up “the” Bright van prototype/show vehicle & is working towards some type of functional restoration. Fun to watch, if anyone is interested in Bright Automotive.

I’m similarly afflicted with an old(er) vehicle that I don’t drive as often as it needs.

There were many, but two come to mind (neither were in the garage, forgive me).

“Chevvy” not once, but twice?
Also, other literature I’ve seen on the Bison indicate that there is a “provision” for a winch in the front bumper, but no winch is included.

I lived/worked in Santa Monica, CA when a few apartment blocks/businesses installed exterior outlets in light poles and on buildings because the city banned gas powered leaf blowers and some other yard equipment. Practically overnight, homeless folks set up shop around these neighborhoods and businesses to avail

Parked overnight at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA, I came out the next morning to find my new, at the time, Audi with a smashed rear bumper & decklid, and a meth’d-out Nissan Xterra on the hood.

Give it a few months of ownership, their opinion will change back. My in laws (2 sets now, inexplicably) have these. Both have been into the dealership for unscheduled repairs and recalls multiple times (each) in under 12 months of ownership already.

I spent a lot of time with Chinese-built Hilux clones overseas ~10 years ago doing truck stuff (hauling gear/people/trailers on dirt roads and light off-road etc). The “Great Wall Motors Deer” and ChangFeng CT7 stand out but there were others. And they were all bad. Most were rendered unserviceable in under 12 months

Rav-4 Prime. If you can get your hands on one for MSRP or less, do it. Its a hoot, and you won’t regret it.

Good news! In 2018, Ford (Getrag) refreshed the MT82 in an effort to resolve shifting & durability issues with the earlier boxes. Perhaps unsurprisingly however, it didn’t work. The MT82 is still a crunchy, imprecise, noisy, unpleasant & generally loathsome unit that enjoys (among other things) sticking in gear on WOT

“Nice 993" I said to the gentleman in the mid-90's 911 Carrera, festooned with Porsche Club of America (PCA) paraphernalia and a Nurburgring sticker, making sure to spell out Porsche’s internal designation for his generation of car as “nine-nine-three” as they do in enthusiast circles.

Last time I was in Moscow (mid 00's), during an afternoon pub/club crawl that stretched into the evening, then the following day... we’d paid a similarly intoxicated off duty (?) Moscow city cop roughly 1000 rubles (~$40, at the time, roughly a weeks salary for the guy) to be our chauffeur in a similar Lada. As we

If I were given the option of an early C4 Corvette or a Fiero 2M6 or GT, I’d take the Fiero thanks.

I’ll have to check those out. My exposure to Hammond outside of TG/GT has been rather regrettably (with apologies to Tori Belleci) limited to the “great escapists”.

This... is exactly what I was going to say. James May can carry a show.
