100% this is how I fit a 65" TV in the back seat of my Volvo S70.

They list Bentonville as an “HQ” and “advanced industrialization” location but I live here & its basically deserted. Perhaps its just an on-paper or place-holder location to fulfill Walmart’s requirement for a “footprint” in Northwest Arkansas. (Walmart requires suppliers/partners/providers to have a brick/mortar

Where Canoo is “based” is a tough thing to track down. Wikipedia says “Torrance, CA” but media/press releases list Justin, TX (current) and Bentonville, AR (future...?) as “HQ”. FWIW their official Linked-in says Justin with (some?) manufacturing in Tulsa, OK and soon-to-be Oklahoma City, OK.

Class of ‘99, also in the northeast, played it all through middle school and HS. Reminds me, I need to teach my kids so we can keep the legacy alive.

I was a teen in the 90s, we were playing it then. Mostly in school/class though occasionally at work too.

The Getrag MT82 in my 2019 Mustang GT was made in China. Glad they switched to US built for at least a few years. The 2011-2019 MT82s are the subject of a class action due to defects in manufacture.

The Chevy Citation my dad was issued by his employer (Procter & Gamble) as a company car was legendarily bad.

Whatever you go with, consider one with captain’s chairs in the 2nd row so whomever sits in the 3rd row can do so w/o having to remove a (presumably LATCH’d) infant seat or booster to fold the 2nd row seat forward & gain access.

Agree 100%. Small administrative note: You can get a 3rd row in the 5th gen 4Runner... but of the two, only the GX offers an optional captain’s chair 2nd row (4Runner only has a 2nd row bench).

Whether the GX is wearing a nicer outfit is debatable... but definitely has a nicer engine & transmission. In the GX you get a V8 & an extra gear in the transmission over the 4Runner at the expense of 1MPG city (and a higher MSRP, but after 4-5 yrs, depreciation evens their prices out on the used market).

I missed this one apparently. 79 series Land Cruiser dual cab ute please.

Thats the first thing I thought of - slap a VW badge on this thing & you could pass it off as the next gen Passat.

I... am not a photographer, clearly.

I know. I commented on his post, too haha.

Dang it man, you beat me by minutes.

Quick, nominate the ‘70 Superbird/Daytona before 1969 Dodge Charger Guy does.

My browser must be broken, this came across as a normal article and not some infernal slideshow.

I’ve owned a slew of these 700/900 turbo wagons. I even dabbled in a 965/V90 or two. They’re wonderful cars.

I’m still a day 1 or 2 reservation holder for the Lightning, my dealer keeps getting 5 allocations but because I’m not a “preferred” customer i.e. I didn’t pay the $5k extortion to get on the list, I haven’t even received so much as a phone call from Ford.

It was one of my favorite (aside from the “night panel”) quirks of the ‘99 9-5 wagon I’d been borrowing summers for the past two years. My wife even took a liking to it on the occasions she’d drive the car at night.
