Anyone else getting a “this video is private” on the YouTube embed?

If this is anything like the GR Yaris... whoa boy.

I’m heading there in a few days... unfortunately I’ll be one of the idiots in an overloaded, under-powered, lifted SUV clogging up those gorgeous roads while I haul my family, canoes, kayaks and camping gear for 4 days “glamping” in the woods out there.

Full disclosure: I am a huge fan of the channel. However I have to assume the Youtube revenue from the adverts for these videos would cover or maybe more than cover the cost of some of these questionably-financed (or, rather, as the courts adjudicated, feloniously-financed) recoveries. Not that he should get in the

Historically yes, it referred to payload. But conversationally, people use “1 ton” to refer to a 3500 series RAM/GMC/Chevy truck or Ford F350.

I’m in Arkansas. Where do I even start? I moved here from Los Angeles. I’ll gladly take the distracted sort-of-loopy CA drivers any day of the week over these talent-less, aggressive morons who think their 1 ton dually they use to commute to their office job is some kind of race car on the interstate.

We had the V10 in a long-ish U-haul packed to the brim towing a 2000lb U-haul double axle car car hauler + 3000lb Subaru. I’ll give you one guess as to the MPG we averaged along I-40 driving half way across the country... (spoiler alert, it was 10).

Reported speed from flightradar24 appears to be ground speed vs. air speed & is likely calculated by the difference in distance between GPS pings. If anything, I’d expect a decrease in ground speed with a steep enough angle of descent.

Strip away the color palette from the ID Buzz and in my mind it evokes more of a T4/T5 Transporter vs. the OG Bus.

When I see this name, I don’t think “hashtag 1". I think of the end result of when my kid tells me they have to use the bathroom, and they say #1.

Maintenance parts, mostly. Some gaskets, window & door seals, etc. Strut insulators. A random smattering of others I can’t think of off the top of my head. They restarted production on a few items in the mid/late 90's for the restoration program.

Hey I need someone to keep making OEM parts for my ‘72 Datsun 240z haha.

On the surface, yes, it looks decent. However... I watched a video over on TheDrive.com where a reviewer started touching/interacting with the interior bits and one word I’d use to describe it is “squeaky”.

With apologies to what all of these brands have accomplished in their histories... its a tossup between Infiniti, Mitsubishi and about 8 months ago I would have said Nissan as well. But in Nissan’s favor, the Frontier is a rather dashing truck and the new Z is ... well not yet out, but I’m eagerly anticipating it

Rivian dropped their prices back down for existing reservation holders. New reservation holders get to pay the new prices, however.

I would, but the teddy bear is covered with ads and pop ups and the link is broken.

A few posts down in this thread someone mentioned the GMG Union strike, where the bloggers are all striking for a better contract. While this is happening, I encourage you to go over and visit The Drive. Or the still-pre-production-home-of-Torch & David Tracy-the-Autopian.

I was not aware of this. Thank you.

Its 9am Eastern on a Monday after a weekend full of automotive & world news and the Jalopnik front page has... a few puff pieces, recycled stuff from last 3 weeks ago and a NPOND post?

I had lane keep assist in a rented Ranger a few years ago and between that & auto start/stop needing to be disabled every time you started the thing... I wanted to drive the damn thing off a pier after 2 wks.
