Any idea if they’re at all reliable?
I’ll never get those “Chinese new car crash test videos” out of my head until I see one of these fare at least decently in US NHTSA/IIHS or Euro NCAP... until then, hard pass, I don’t care how cool it looks.
...double posting is a thing again?
Alex Zanardi: loses both legs in a wreck; aggressively and successfully rejoins sport which took his legs (and oh yeah becomes an Olympian).
Me: says “you too” when McDonalds drive thru employee says “enjoy your meal,” never returns to McDonalds.

I’m not even a Cowboys fan and watching that again still makes me mad.
I mean, up until recently the C5 had something like a 63% readiness rating... so 37% of the time, they couldn’t get off the ground.
I’ll be seeing a ton of these things where I live... I wish it wasn’t so hideous. Looks like someone with a mild nut allergy got into a reeses peanut butter cup.
I liked the turbocoupes due to the mechanical similarities with the SVO mustang, however I don’t really like the styling as much as the SVO.
Best Fox platform car? The obvious answer is SVO Mustang, of course. But my runner up will always be the Lincoln Mark VII w/the BMW turbo diesel in it.
Yeah I noticed that, too. But I was just happy to find one with a manual transmission that was actually manual vs. tiptronic or whatever Mazda’s branding is for it.
Temperature hovering around the 0f mark, wind chills -10 to -15f, brutal wind-driven snowstorm in northern Indiana of all places, I lost all charging capacity on my ‘89 Volvo 740 turbo wagon. Belt was fine. Thought I needed an alternator so in the parking lot of my office I removed the alternator and walked to an auto…
Yeah I don’t understand how people can consider a $500 winter beater a “NP” at $3k. This thing is a rust bucket. Rust on Mazdas is like a cockroach - for every one you see there are hundreds you don’t.
Agreed, this thing is a writeoff. Lived in Maine for ~15yrs. The NP threshold on this one is hovering around the $500 mark.
Dress for the slide, not the ride.
DROP TABLE emotions;
Send it to the crusher! Buy something new and shiny!
I vote Z car people. Went to my first local club meet and was welcomed like family despite having never met 98% of the people there. Hard to recall a time when I’ve felt that welcome among a group of enthusiasts.
A dealer local to my family (in New England) did precisely this. And every time I visit (once every few months) I see the same three V90's parked out front, waiting for buyers.
That was standard practice for the West Los Angeles/Sawtelle-based USPS carriers. They wouldn’t even put the boxes in their trucks, they’d just scribble off a slew of “sorry we missed you, pick it up at the post office tomorrow” post-its and leave those. My mail carrier told me this to my face when I greeted her on my…
